April is almost over, and that means nine games will soon be leaving Xbox Game Pass. One of the great things about Game Pass is the chance to try out different games, but as new titles are added, some older ones are removed to make room.
Double Fine’s Kiln launches on PC and consoles on April 23rd and will be available right away as part of the game service. A week later, on April 30th, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get three more games: Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, Sledding Game, and TerraTech Legion. These will all be playable on PC, but Heroes of Might and Magic won’t be available on consoles.
Every Game Leaving Xbox Game Pass on April 30
- Citizen Sleeper (Console, PC, Cloud)
- Creatures of Ava (Console, PC, Cloud)
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Console, PC, Cloud)
- Endless Legend 2 (PC)
- Goat Simulator (Console, Cloud)
- Goat Simulator: Remastered (Console, PC, Cloud)
- Hunt: Showdown 1896 (Console, PC, Cloud)
- NHL 24 (Console)
- Revenge of the Savage Planet (Console, PC, Cloud)
Nine games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on April 30th, which may be frustrating for some players. However, if you’re disappointed to see NHL 24 go, NHL 26 is now available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Since EA’s NHL games don’t change drastically from year to year, players of NHL 24 should easily be able to pick up NHL 26. The newest installment in the series, NHL 26, is expected to be released later this year.
Giving players advance notice allows them time to finish playing games before they’re removed. It also lets them decide if they want to buy the game, as the Microsoft Store often has discounts on titles leaving Xbox Game Pass. Importantly, your progress in those games won’t be lost – you can continue playing right where you left off, even after they’re no longer included with Game Pass.
Okay, so May is looking awesome for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members! I’m super excited because Forza Horizon 6 is dropping on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S (and eventually PS5, cool!). The best part? It’ll be available on Game Pass the day it comes out, which is huge. There’s been some talk about whether Xbox will keep doing that with all their games, but Forza Horizon 6 is definitely confirmed. The last Forza Horizon was a massive hit, and everyone’s really hyped for this next one – I know I am!

Asha Sharma recently took over as the head of Xbox, replacing Phil Spencer. This change in leadership might bring some big updates to the company. A document that was accidentally shared suggests Xbox Game Pass could become more affordable, possibly with a lower-priced option. The cost of Game Pass and how to make it profitable has been a long-standing discussion, especially considering the investments needed. Currently, however, things are business as usual, with the usual games being added to the service each month for subscribers.
