But wait, there’s more! Cardano (ADA) was like, “Hold my beer,” and just soared to a new record high of 120%. Must be nice.
Why all the drama, you ask? Blame it on the crypto reserve situation. You know, the one everyone’s been yapping about.
On March 2, XRP thought it was the cool kid when it shot up 34% after being named in the reserve’s token list. Then, it face-planted nearly 19%. Ouch.
Other tokens were like, “Hey, we want to be in the reserve’s cool club too!” So they all had a little price party.
Turns out, the altcoins are going to be part of this “stockpile” thing, which is totally separate from the Bitcoin-only reserve. Because, you know, Bitcoin’s too good for the rest of us.
But wait, it gets better. There was a whole lot of head-scratching about how this stockpile would be formed. Spoiler alert: it’s all about the forfeited tokens. Yay?

Monday rolls around, and the leading altcoins get another beatdown, right alongside Bitcoin and tech stocks. XRP’s down 14% since the whole reserve announcement. And after that sweet, sweet high of $3.40 in January, it’s now flatlining. Sad trombone.
