As a seasoned Zelda fan with over two decades of traversing Hyrule’s verdant landscapes and unraveling its enigmatic mysteries, I must say that the upcoming release of “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom” has stirred an intriguing mix of anticipation and nostalgia within me.

In “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” we’ll see returning characters spanning the franchise’s 38-year timeline, along with some fresh faces. Expected to drop in late September, this new installment promises familiar figures like Zelda, Link, and Ganon, but a sneak peek at the side characters is revealing some unrecognized Hyrule residents.

In June, it was revealed that the upcoming installment in the series deviates from its usual format by featuring Zelda as the primary character, rather than Link. Players can now delve into the narrative through Zelda’s eyes, wielding the enchanted Tri-Rod and accompanied by a fairy named Tri. This new perspective allows Zelda to navigate and manipulate objects within the game world, enabling her to solve puzzles and combat adversaries effectively.

In addition to Tri, six new characters will join the cast in Zelda’s adventure. These include Impa, Ruberi, the King of Hyrule, Minister Sadari, and General Ugi. Impa, a character with multiple appearances in The Legend of Zelda series, is portrayed as an older individual this time around, accompanied by her brother Ruberi who is studying rifts. Previous versions of Impa have been depicted as both a young bodyguard to the princess and an elderly figure in need of rescue.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Introduces New Characters

In the game Echoes of Wisdom, the spotlight shifts to Princess Zelda, who will undoubtedly interact with key figures in Hyrule’s government. Recent tweets from the game’s official account have shed light on two such characters: General Ugi and Minister Sadari. These individuals are expected to assist Zelda with military and domestic matters. General Ugi comes across as gruff, yet his passion for justice shines through, while Minister Sadari is more reserved, demonstrating a serious and polite demeanor. The King of Hyrule makes an appearance in the game, but his exact role remains unknown; he’s only referred to as Zelda’s father and ruler of the Kingdom.

In “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” while the narrative primarily revolves around Zelda, the classic hero, Link, won’t be completely sidelined. Players will find themselves controlling Zelda for most of the game’s storyline, but rest assured, Link remains a playable character. The extent of his involvement in the game is still undetermined at this point.
