8 Tomodachi Life Miis That Perfectly Show Off the Game’s Creative Side

Players have always enjoyed expressing their creativity when designing characters in games. In the past, the Wii’s simple character creation tool, Miis, was popular for making unique avatars. Now, those kinds of tools are much more advanced and offer even more possibilities.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream lets players customize their Mii characters with a robust drawing tool. This has led to some incredibly creative and detailed Miis being made.

Struggling to design your Miis? These creations from Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream might give you some inspiration for your next character!

8. The Simpsons

Do’oh

The Simpsons is a long-running and incredibly popular show worldwide, so it’s not surprising someone would recreate Springfield in the Tomodachi Life game.

I’m absolutely blown away by what people are creating in this game! This user, ThisisGoblin on X, has made a huge collection of Simpsons characters – seriously, it’s awesome. The screenshot shows everything from Otto the bus driver and Principal Skinner to a hilarious Homer with a donut for a head. They even made a devilish Ned Flanders, which is just brilliant!

I’ve been checking out the images they’ve posted, and it’s so cool to see characters like Mr. Burns, Barney, and even Krusty and Marge! They’ve really nailed the character designs, and honestly, the island they’ve built looks just like Springfield from the show – it’s super accurate!

7. Animal Crossing Village

Different Island, Same Animals

Animal Crossing is famous for its charming animal characters, like the Able Sisters, K. K., and Isabelle. Recently, a user named Cozyberru on X decided to bring their favorite villagers into the game Tomodachi Life.

Players have demonstrated incredible creativity by populating their islands with beloved Animal Crossing characters like Blathers, his wife, a wide variety of animal villagers, the Able Sisters, and Tom Nook, effectively transforming their islands into a perfect Animal Crossing getaway.

The player took the time to design unique outfits for every villager, perfectly reflecting their personalities within the game. It’s wonderful to see that kind of creativity, and many hope Nintendo will eventually add similar customization options to Animal Crossing, though it might not happen anytime soon.

6. Pokémon Trainers

Ash, Misty, and More

It’s incredible how skilled some people are at drawing on the Switch 2 – while others struggle to even draw a simple scar! Some users are even recreating the whole cast of the Pokémon cartoon.

Reddit user DarkDesertFox created some amazing Pokémon characters in a 90s style. They drew Ash, Misty, and Brock, but also secretly included Jessie, James, and Nurse Joy!

The artwork required drawing nearly every eye and a variety of hairstyles, making it a complex undertaking. Despite the challenges, the artist perfectly recreated the look and feel of the 1990s.

5. The Straw Hat Pirates

Searching for the One Piece

The anime One Piece features incredibly popular characters. Because the manga is so well-loved, many people have been inspired to recreate these characters in video games.

We did contribute a few members to the group, but the ones created by Reddit user Krancky are much better – they even made all the characters before the time skip! Krancky really nailed the details, like Sanji’s curled eyebrow, Franky’s Hawaiian shirt, and Brook’s spooky look.

Jinbe is particularly remarkable, as his hair and facial features required a significant amount of detailed work. The next challenge is building the world of One Piece, though the current island map may not be large enough to accommodate everything.

4. Avatar: The Last Airbender

Four Nations Living in Harmony

Avatar: The Last Airbender has a remarkably devoted fanbase. The show was hugely popular when it first came out, and fans still cherish its memorable moments and characters.

A Reddit user named kafkapolice shared their fun creations based on the show Avatar: The Last Airbender within the game Tomodachi Life. They included characters like Aang, Katara, Sokka, Suki, and Uncle Iroh, among others.

The user was incredibly dedicated, even designing characters like Jet who only showed up in a handful of episodes. Each character’s unique design demonstrated a strong mastery of the face paint feature.

3. Futurama

Fry’s Dream Come True

Besides The Simpsons, Futurama is another incredibly popular animated series that has surprisingly survived multiple cancellation attempts. Some fans even like it better, but that’s another discussion for another time.

A Reddit user named cloudydowdy shared their impressive recreation of the Futurama cast in the game Tomodachi Life. They’ve included characters like the Professor, Fry, Leela, Bender, Amy, Hermes, and even Scruffy, and the results are remarkably accurate.

They also presented their takes on Kiff and Zapp Brannigan, complete with their iconic outfits, really capturing the look from the show. Now, hopefully, we’ll see a model of the Planet Express building!

2. Dragon Ball Z

No Fighting on This Island

Dragon Ball Z is a hugely popular anime, and a fan has created amazing recreations of its characters – like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo – on a real island!

A Reddit user named Expert_Challenge6399 recently shared their artwork of Dragon Ball Z characters, and it’s remarkably accurate. Though we’d hoped to see Piccolo, the artist really nailed the characters’ expressions, especially their characteristic dissatisfaction.

It’s fun to see Vegeta still looking grumpy even as a Super Saiyan, and Goku seems perfectly happy living on the Tomodachi Life island. Hopefully, they’ll add the Android characters next!

1. Peaches Castle

Everyone Lives There

Since Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a Nintendo game, fans have been creating versions of Nintendo characters within it. While many people have made Mario, a version created by DarkDesertFox on Reddit is particularly well-done.

The team designed characters including Daisy, Peach, Rosalina, Mario, and Luigi. They all wear their recognizable outfits from the games. The only slight difference is Rosalina’s outfit, which is a little longer than usual.

The designs are all excellent, and placing a standard Mii alongside them really highlights the incredible artistry. It’s amazing how much variety the drawing tool allows for each character.
