Summary
- “Think Mark” meme became iconic for Invincible, setting the show’s identity early on.
- No character stays dead for long in the franchise, with twists and great lines in each season.
- Season 3 highlights funny and poignant lines, showcasing the variety and depth of the show’s writing.
It’s surprising to realize that the series “Invincible” debuted in 2021 and already has three seasons. The initial season popularized the “Think Mark” meme, which spread like wildfire and is now synonymous with the show. Despite the difficulty in surpassing a scene like the intense father-son confrontation, the writers strive to intensify the drama and introduce unexpected twists.
Itâs safe to say that no one remains dead long in this franchise. Season three of Invincible had some great lines beyond these twists. Can they top the âThink Markâ meme? Hard to say but letâs go through some funny and poignant lines regardless.
WARNING! Spoilers ahead.
8. âBelieve It Or Not But Somebody Appears To Be Stealing The Declaration of Independence.â
Donald, Episode One

This hilarious line from the opening episode brings to mind the atmosphere of National Treasure. In the Pentagon, Mark and Rex were chatting with Cecil and Donald when Donald received an unexpected call on his earpiece. Few would have anticipated that the Declaration of Independence was about to be swiped that very day.
The reason why isnât detailed until episode four when Mark gets dragged into the future by two brothers who need him to kill The Immortal who has gone AWOL. The brothers stole the Declaration of Independence because there was a rumor the ink, if melted down into a bullet, could kill The Immortal which obviously turned out to be false.
7. âThings Change.â
Doc Seismic, Episode One

Doc Seismic has been a joke in the series since it began in 2021. He has some basic technology that allows him to create fissures in the Earth. Itâs not a bad gadget but compared to other superpowers and heroes in general in Invincible, Doc Seismic was like a joke.
That is until he kidnaps every superhero in the U.S. and tries to kill them underground in the first episode. When Invincible confronts him about how he used to be a minor threat, Doc Seismic replies with this change line with a vicious smile. In the end, Doc Seismic is defeated, of course, wiping that confidence away.
6. âThereâs Always A Bigger Thumb.â
Machine Head, Episode Five

In season two, Invincible helps Titan usurp a criminal organization from under Machine Head. Titan becomes the new leader and cleans up the city with everyone going fine until he sees someone from The Order come knocking in this season.
Mister Liu is a metal-jawed villain who can transform into a dragon, threatening to eat Titan if he doesnât break Multi-Paul out of jail. Titan goes to jail not to break Multi-Paul out, but to ask Machine Head for advice on how to proceed which is quite daring given what he did to him last season. Machine Head is blunt with his reply, reminding Titan that someone is always in charge of someone else as a sly reference to Jaws.
5. âOh F***.â
Rex, Episode Two

In episode two, the bond between Invincible and Cecil becomes tense when Cecil dispatches combat drones against him if he refuses to depart from the Pentagon. Additionally, it is revealed that Cecil possesses a device capable of incapacitating Invincible using sonic waves.
Eventually, the struggle ends at the Global Defense Agency’s headquarters, where Invincible pleads with them to remove the sound device from his head. After a fierce battle against additional drones, Cecil eventually retreats, leaving Invincible behind. Once everything settles down, all Rex can mutter is a fitting exclamation that encapsulates the chaotic scenario.
4. âYou Can Be The Good Guy Or The Guy Who Saves The WorldâŠYou Canât Be Both.â
Radcliffe, Episode Two

The second episode is significant beyond the fight between Invincible and Cecil. Viewers get to dive into Cecilâs past before becoming the director of the United Statesâ secret underground defense force.
After events lead to him getting jailed, the then director, Radcliffe, pays Cecil a visit in prison. He offers Cecil his job but he refuses initially which is when Radcliffe says this line. In a roundabout way, itâs a reminder that sometimes good guys have to do bad things to save people.
3. âInvincible!â
Powerplex, Episode Six

Throughout its run, this series has consistently employed creative title cards at the start of each episode. One particularly hilarious instance can be found in episode six of the current season, where Powerplex experiences an unexpected outburst and demands Invincible’s presence. Each time he calls out his name, the screen cuts to a cleverly placed title card.
The event occurs approximately a dozen times, and it becomes increasingly amusing as the viewpoint changes. Powerplex is so eccentric that he has grounds to be angry with Invincible, but there’s a chance he might change his mind in the upcoming season.
2. âThatâs What Happens When Youâre A Bad Guy.â
Oliver, Episode Three

Between the first few episodes, season three really has a lot of shocking moments early on. The end of episode three, for example, shows Oliver come in and save Invincible and other heroes from the Mauler Twins.
After summoning up enough strength, Oliver dashes through one of the Maulers, guts and all. When he kills the one, Oliver turns to his twin and says this line coldly while covered in blood and then proceeds to kill him too. To say it was unsettling does not begin to describe the scene but thankfully Oliver doesnât go as chaotic in the rest of the season.
1. âI Can See The Future, You Donât Live To See Tomorrow.â
Invincible, Episode Eight

In the last episode, Atom Eve suffers a catastrophic defeat at the hands of Conquest. This tragic event pushes Invincible beyond his limits, causing him to gain additional strength. As he confronts Conquest, standing near what appears to be Atom Eve’s lifeless body, he utters this powerful line.
Thankfully she doesnât die, but her pain helps Invincible in the end regardless. The direct shot following this speech of Invincible destroying Conquestâs metallic arm is great and could become a great GIF to pass around until season four begins.
