Deltarune is a widely acclaimed independent game that’s brimming with mysteries, riddles, and most notably, Easter Eggs. Scattered throughout its Chapters are numerous small interconnections leading to unexpected discoveries like hidden boss battles or bothersome items in your collection.
One such item is the Eggs.
As a passionate moviegoer, let me share my insights on an intriguing in-game treasure hunt: The Eggs. These enigmatic artifacts hide in every chapter of the game, and though they don’t directly impact your gaming experience, they’re cherished by fans as one of the most beloved collectibles. If you’re determined to track down all four Eggs in Deltarune, I’ve compiled a thorough guide detailing each Egg Room’s location and the steps necessary to access them. Enjoy the hunt!
How To Find All The Egg Rooms In Deltarune
At the moment, you’ll find four Eggs to gather in Deltarune, one for each chapter. These eggs are hidden in secret spots, which can be reached once you’ve successfully navigated a challenging set of puzzles, and sometimes additional actions or interactions are required as well. The following list provides details about the four locations within Deltarune that hold these elusive Eggs:
1. Location 1 (details here)
2. Location 2 (details here)
3. Location 3 (details here)
4. Location 4 (details here)
Chapter 1 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

To locate the Egg Room in Chapter 1, start by navigating to the distinct region featuring colossal birds and a bell tower, which can be accessed later in the Dark World section. The key lies in the room adjacent to the one containing the Starwalker character.
To enter this room, you must not have defeated the final boss in Chapter 1. So, I recommend you conquer it before advancing further in the chapter.

You should repeatedly move from the room containing the bell to the one where the Starwalker is located, as this action needs to be done numerous times (possibly 20 or more). The Egg room will only appear about 2% of the time. After several attempts, you’ll be transported into a secret room featuring a red tree and an enigmatic man standing behind it.
To proceed, move to the spot behind the tree where you can engage with the NPC character. In due course, there will be an option appearing that reads “‘He proposed something to you,’” followed by two choices: ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. Select ‘Yes’ if you want to accept the Egg, or choose ‘No’ if you prefer to decline it.
After grabbing the Egg, remember to retrace your steps and visit the three rooms you previously passed by, as the Darkners will likely be back in action there. So, ensure you’re fully equipped before proceeding.
Chapter 2 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

In Chapter 2, you’ll find the Egg Room nestled within the Alleyway section, immediately following the traffic lights mini-game. After successfully completing the minigame and venturing into the Alleyway, a scene unfolds where Kris is accidentally hit by Toby Fox in the alleyway.
After that, a “Game Over” message will appear on the screen for a brief moment before vanishing again. Shortly after, you’ll notice yourself positioned close to a trash can with some graffiti depicting a tree. This serves as your signal.
Just like the Egg introduced in Chapter 1, there’s approximately a 2% probability of encountering the Egg Room in Chapter 2. This means that with some luck, you might find it after about 50 attempts. However, if you don’t get it right away, it could potentially take quite a while to come across it.

Initially, you’ll be moving back and forth from the narrow passageway to the bustling city center. After making multiple changes in direction, a peculiar room will materialize unexpectedly. This is where you’ll encounter a secret location that seems oddly out of place. In this strange spot, the enigmatic figure will once more be hiding behind a tree.
Step into the concealed area behind the tree for a chat with him. Once the discussion begins, you’ll encounter an option: “‘He appears pleased to see you,’ offering choices Yes and No. If you opt for Yes, you will acquire the Egg, whereas choosing No won’t result in any reward.
Chapter 3 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

In contrast to earlier instances, navigating to the Egg Room in Chapter 3 is by far the most intricate journey I’ve encountered so far. First, make your way to the TV World and successfully answer the quizzes to uncover a hidden door. This secret passageway leads to a river-spanning mini-game where you control Susie to hurl a block over the bushes, ultimately reaching the other side.

After finishing up, head into the Green Room, then find a peculiar character who alleges you’ve been dishonest. When given options to respond, choose “Cheater” and “Nowhere”. This will whisk you away to Nowhere, an extension of the earlier river puzzle solution. Cross the newly constructed bridge and hit the button to move forward.

After that, locate the NPC standing near the large screen, then engage in multiple conversations with him. Keep this up until a wardrobe materializes. Open the wardrobe when it appears to get a Trip Pass. Take your Trip Pass and head towards the door that leads to Goulden Sam. Nearby, you’ll find a dumpster with a closed lid; inspect it to uncover a secret Ribbick.

While engaged in combat, skip choosing an action by navigating to the game’s menu (usually denoted as ACT) and pressing the left arrow key instead. This action will transport you to the Forgotten Isle. Once there, move behind a tree and converse with a figure cloaked in mystery. To proceed, ensure your responses match the dialogue prompts accurately.
Prompt | Answer |
---|---|
“Will you forget me, too?” | No |
“I ask again, will you forget me?” | No |
“The whole world looked like this. Do you think so?” | Yes |
“Do you understand what I am saying?” | Yes |
“Did you want to meet again?” | Yes |
“Did you remember to write it down?” | Yes |
Complete this interaction, and you will be rewarded with the Egg.
Chapter 4 Egg Room Location in Deltarune

In Chapter 4, you’ll find the last known Egg Room situated along the lengthy corridor adorned with colorful stained-glass windows, which is part of the second sanctuary. This section is rich in tales spun by enigmatic entities and culminates at a moss-covered shrine.
Out of all the windows, look for one situated towards the end of the hallway that has a rounded, egg-like structure at its peak. This window is slightly different from the rest, as they all appear to be upside-down eggs in shape.

Step into this particular entrance. Just like in the earlier sections, continually moving in and out of this room may lead you to the Egg Room. This secret location bears a likeness to a hospital or office lobby.
At the far end of the lobby, you’ll find three doors. The one in the middle has a sketch of a tree on it. This door leads to a dimly lit room where you’ll need to navigate and engage in conversations as dialogue boxes pop up.
In the heart of the dimly lit room, arrange yourself. There, you’ll overhear the conversation: “Apparently, there’s someone here, he appears to be gesturing towards something and nodding.” Close to the doorway, you will encounter these hints: “Here, there seems to be a painting,” followed by “Would you care to sketch?
Choosing ‘Yes’ to the preceding question initiates a sequence of conversations detailing Kris’ artwork, culminating in the statement “The action then shifts to picking up an Egg from a nearby easel“, followed by locating the fourth Egg in your items or inventory.
Before getting the Shadow Mantle, the process functions smoothly. But once you’ve obtained the mantle, the egg room becomes unreachable.
How To Use Eggs In Deltarune

The Eggs in Deltarune are somewhat mysterious. They don’t have a role in combat, can’t be worn or eaten, and some disappear at the beginning of a new chapter. However, they function as collectibles and occasionally trigger intriguing interactions, like the ones described below.
In Chapter 1, when you put the Egg in Asgore’s refrigerator, Kris quietly places it among other items. Later, if you reexamine the fridge content, the description will read: “There are two Eggs within the fridge.” However, if you drop the Egg instead, only one Egg can be found inside.
In Chapter 2, I found myself at Sans’ egg shop. After placing the mysterious Egg into a basket with other eggs, Susie cracked a joke about Kris “borrowing” the Egg in reverse fashion. Upon examining the bell on the top-right shelf later on, I noticed something peculiar – the Egg had disappeared from my inventory, yet the pile of eggs now appeared to have more than the usual number.
In Chapter 3, feel free to set your Egg on a table within Berdley’s classroom. Throughout other parts of the story, the Egg stays in your possession and serves as a topic for discussion. Although some fans have theories suggesting that the Egg might be connected to a larger mystery in the later chapters of Deltarune, at this point, the exact purpose of the Egg is still unknown.
