In July, there are several exciting PS5 game releases coming up such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 on July 11 and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers on July 24. However, these games might be more suited for future you since they require a certain level of experience or skills. If you are looking for something fresh and engaging to play right now, I would like to recommend some PS Plus titles that should provide you with plenty of entertainment for weeks to come. The free PS Plus games for July 2025 include “Diablo 4”, “Jusant”, and “The King of Fighters 15”. It’s important to mention that while “Diablo 4” is packed with all the content players could desire, “Jusant” and “The King of Fighters 15” are more concise – particularly in terms of campaign length. However, instead of choosing just one game for a week, why not select all three (or even add other recommendations to your collection)?

If you’re a fan of fighting games but haven’t played KOF yet, it’s worth giving it a try, as it’s also beginner-friendly. Lastly, “Diablo 4” is the newest installment in the popular ARPG series, offering plenty of dungeon exploration, treasure hunting, and monster slaying for players to enjoy, whether they want a long or short gaming session.

You’re Running Out of Time to Play Dying Light 2: Stay Human on PS Plus

Playing Dying Light 2: Stay Human right now is highly recommended due to its rich content and Techland’s dedication to their community. Over the years, the game has received extensive support, with updates addressing concerns from parkour to firearms in the Reloaded Edition of the game. As a result, Dying Light 2 is significantly stronger today than it was at its initial release. If you’ve played it before, it’s definitely worth revisiting, but remember, you only have until July 15 to do so as the game, along with others, will be removed from PS Plus on that date.

Additionally, the game titled “Dying Light: The Beast” is scheduled for release in August. Playing this game can also help establish a base understanding of how “Dying Light: The Beast” enhances the franchise.

If you enjoy Soulslike games, I’d like to share one of my favorites with you. It’s got a unique twist and a more vibrant feel, but let me tell you, my top four Soulslike games are Bloodborne, Lies of P, Elden Ring, and an unconventional one called Another Crab’s Treasure. This game offers something delightfully fresh compared to the usual Soulslike experience, and it’s the least challenging on my top four list. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, though – unless you fancy giving Kril a gun!

To triumph in boss battles, players must grasp patterns, put in the necessary preparation, and cultivate patience, though these elements may require persistence. However, this game offers an engaging narrative filled with humor that enhances the experience. I believe it’s a recommended play for fans of Soulslike games, although it might not quite match the world-building standards often associated with the genre. If you’ve recently completed the Overture DLC of “Lies of P,” this could make an excellent sequel for you to explore next.

As a fellow gamer, if you’re hooked on the thrilling multiplayer climbing game, PEAK, why not extend your support to its co-developer/publisher, Aggro Crab? You never know, if we keep asking nicely, maybe Aggro Crab will throw in some cannibalism for a twist in PEAK!

Frostpunk: Console Edition

If you’re seeking a challenge this week but aren’t fond of Soulslike games, that’s perfectly fine! In your case, I’d suggest giving the console version of Frostpunk a try. It’s quite uncommon for strategy games to perform so well on consoles, and it serves as excellent preparation if you’re planning to delve into the franchise. The sequel, Frostpunk 2, has been available on PC for some time, but its console release on PlayStation and Xbox is scheduled for this summer. There might be a slight delay, but now could be an ideal moment to get started. Frostpunk is a city-building survival game and is considered one of the cornerstones of the genre.

If you’ve yet to experience it, give Jak and Daxter a try. They are truly exceptional games, especially if you’re subscribed to PS Plus Premium. These games are not just iconic, they are a must-play for any PlayStation enthusiast.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is a blend of platforming and melee combat that lays the groundwork for the larger, sandbox worlds found in Jak 2 and Jak 3. Among all the games listed below, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is the only one you might want to skip; everything else is a must-play. Once you start, you’ll likely find yourself captivated by its endearing charm (if you can overlook its age).
