This article contains spoilers from Demon Slayer’s manga.
The long-awaited “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” film has been released, and it’s surpassing all predictions! People who have seen this movie can’t stop talking about it. In Japan, it’s already a massive sensation, shattering a record once held by another “Demon Slayer” movie.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 Breaks Mugen Train’s Record
Akaza’s Return Scores Highest First Day Premier At Japanese Box Office
Demon Slayer has gained significant popularity due to its exceptional films, with “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” being the first of these remarkable productions. The film “Mugen Train” was particularly noteworthy as it set a massive first-day box office record in Japan at the time. Later, it surpassed all previous records to become the highest-grossing movie in Japanese history, a title it continues to hold.
Initially, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1, or Akaza’s Return, had broken the record set by another Demon Slayer movie, Mugen Train, on its opening day at the Japanese Box Office. This new film currently stands as the leader in first-day premieres, but only time will tell if it eventually outperforms Mugen Train in terms of overall box office earnings. For now, we can only wait and see.
The Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie has only a hint of its full potential at this stage. Keep in mind that the first film won’t be as grandiose as the third one, which will focus on the climactic battle against Muzan.
When Will Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 Release Internationally?
North American Release Date Is Scheduled for September 12
Although Japan premiered Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 on July 18th, its global release is yet to happen. The movie’s release dates vary by country, but in North America, including the USA and Canada, it’s set for September 12. Fans outside of these regions will have to wait a bit longer.
Where To Watch and Read Demon Slayer?
Available on Crunchyroll and Manga Plus
The Demon Slayer manga ended as far back as 2020. Compared to many other stories, it’s relatively brief, encompassing just 205 chapters. If you’re a fan of the series and can’t wait for the movies, you might want to explore the manga on Manga Plus.
As I stand by, it’s clear that the anime has already unfolded across 4 captivating seasons. Each season is available for viewing on Crunchyroll. Excitingly, the remaining chapters of the series are set to be transformed into films, though we’ll need to keep an eye out for their theatrical premiere. The launch dates, it seems, vary depending on one’s location.
