Dexter Heads To A Serial Killer Dinner Party
Dexter: Resurrection’s cast Is Bolstered By Some Impressive Guest Stars

In the closing moments of episode three, I discover that Red received an invitation to a gathering of serial killers. Given my secret identity, I decide to represent him at this exclusive event. After severing Red’s finger during my initial kill of the season, I was able to secure his fingerprint, granting me access to this previously uncharted territory teeming with new serial killer acquaintances. This is when the series introduces a mind-blowing ensemble of guest stars, including Peter Dinklage, Eric Stonestreet, Neil Patrick Harris, David Dastmalchian, and Krysten Ritter, who make their debut on the show for the very first time.
In this scenario, Dexter initially encounters an intriguing figure named Leo Prater (played by Dinklage), who orchestrates the entire event. Pretending to be Red, he guides Dexter through his private collection of serial killer memorabilia, offering a glimpse into his character.
Notably, this collection includes macabre items like Jeffery Dahmer’s blood-stained fridge and John Wayne Gacy’s clown costume. However, it also houses artifacts from the serial killers featured in the Dexter series. For instance, Arthur Mitchell’s hammer is displayed, as well as the table where Dexter’s brother, Brian (the Ice Truck Killer), met his end. Additionally, items belonging to the party’s serial killers are present.
The most striking item, however, is a series of blood slides, which belong to none other than the Bay Harbor Butcher – revealing that Prater has knowledge about Dexter’s Dark Passenger. Although Dexter doesn’t expose himself, the display of these slides serves as a subtle hint of potential future developments.
Later on, Dexter encounters Mia, also known as Lady Vengeance, a woman renowned for eliminating sexual offenders. At the same time, Al shows up, portrayed by Stonestreet, who poses as an ordinary family man but collects ponytails as his bizarre trophies. Next comes Lowell, accompanied by Neil Patrick Harris’ character, who is noticeably more boastful than the others, causing friction with Dexter. Lastly, Dastmalchian’s character joins them, exhibiting a more subdued and twisted demeanor. During dinner, Prater makes it clear that he has additional plans for this group of individuals.
Dexter Gets To Know His New Friends
It’s A Love/Hate Relationship For The Dark Passenger

As a captivated cinephile, I must confess that in the intriguing narrative of ‘Dexter: Resurrection’, it’s not just the dinner party chatter with fellow serial killers that piques Dexter’s interest, but two individuals in particular. These enigmatic figures spark his curiosity so profoundly that he doesn’t let formalities hinder his pursuit for knowledge.
Among these intriguing characters, Mia stands out as the one whose actions resonate deeply with Dexter. Her choice of targets – sexual predators – seems to hint at a personal code, reminiscent of Harrison’s first-episode victim. This parallel is too compelling for Dexter to ignore. So, in an attempt to uncover more about her, he arranges a casual run with Mia. The chemistry between them is palpable, and the line between friendship and romance almost blurs, but alas, Dexter’s inner demons – his Dark Passenger – tug him away towards another killer, Lowell.
At a social gathering, Lowell casually mentioned he’s planning a new ‘canvas’ for his tattoo – a chilling foreshadowing of his intended victim. Dexter plans to delve deeper into this matter, but when they arrange a drink, it becomes evident that Lowell is preparing for a murder. This sets off Dexter, who finds himself compelled to act. In the end, he transforms Lowell into a victim on his own ‘kill table’. This scene resonates with fans as we witness the return of the original Dexter Morgan, a serial killer. It leaves us speculating if Dexter will pursue the rest of the group in the series, hinting at his possible reversion to his darker self.
Harrison Morgan Is Visited By Blasts From His Past
Dexter: Resurrection Finally Delivers On The Ultimate Reunion

This week, Harrison Morgan encountered an unexpected turn when Angel Batista paid him a visit. At first, it seemed like a friendly catch-up, but things soon took a serious turn as Batista accused Dexter of being the Bay Harbor Butcher. This is the first time he’s openly made such an accusation, showing his relentless pursuit of his former friend. Batista doesn’t stop there; he shares his findings about the similarities in the disposal methods of the Empire Hotel murder and the Bay Harbor Butcher’s killings, making the situation more tense. Batista continues to press Harrison, warning him not to follow in his father’s footsteps as the pressure on the young man intensifies.
In the course of the episode, Harrison retrieves Bryan’s watch that he had been repairing before opting for a deadly act against a hotel guest. The episode skillfully incorporates the steady ticking sound of the watch throughout, mirroring Harrison’s growing anxiety about the appropriate steps to take. As the ticking reaches a crescendo, Harrison feels as if he’s on the verge of an explosion while en route to the police station to confess. However, at this critical juncture, a figure from his past emerges – none other than his father. In a dramatic twist, this apparition intervenes, preventing Harrison from turning himself in, leaving viewers with a suspenseful ending that promises further intrigue.
In this installment, not only did we see Harrison and Dexter reunite, but also the intriguing introduction of new characters and the vibrant interactions they brought about. This development has opened up exciting possibilities for where the series might go next, further fueling the excitement already generated by Dexter: Resurrection.
