Naruto: Kishimoto Reveals The Strongest Taijutsu User, And It’s Not Rock Lee Or Might Guy

This article contains spoilers for the Naruto series.

In the realm of ninja skills, Taijutsu is a technique that isn’t often emphasized. Given that characters from the Naruto universe typically engage in combat using their potent ninjutsu or, on occasion, Genjutsu.

Few master the skill of Taijutsu, but among them stand out Might Guy and Rock Lee. However, despite their exceptional abilities, neither of these characters holds the title of the ultimate Taijutsu expert. This fact was made clear by Kishimoto in his narrative quite some time ago.

Might Guy Was The Strongest Taijutsu User Up Until The Ninja War

  • Guy Was An Expert In Taijutsu
  • Even Madara Called Him The Strongest

In terms of hand-to-hand combat (Taijutsu), there isn’t many who can rival Might Guy, not just in the Naruto world. You see, Guy is primarily proficient in Taijutsu, but he holds his own against the strongest Jonin and Kage-level fighters. At his absolute best, when utilizing the Eight Inner Gates, Guy surpasses all Five Kage, even reaching a level with the Gate of Death that was previously only seen during the Fourth Great Ninja War. This power, as witnessed in this war, was so immense that Madara Uchiha acknowledged it, stating that Guy was the strongest opponent he had ever faced up until that point in his life. In fact, even Hashirama Senju couldn’t keep pace with 8 Gates Guy.

Lee Reached Similar Heights To Might Guy

Together with Guy, Rock Lee likewise attained remarkable skill levels in Taijutsu. According to the Boruto series, Lee has mastered all eight gates by adulthood, making him a highly proficient Taijutsu practitioner who can match or even surpass Might Guy in strength. However, despite their impressive prowess, neither Lee nor Guy hold the title of the strongest Taijutsu user.

Naruto Is The Best Taijutsu User

Naruto Uzumaki Surpasses Might Guy At Taijutsu

In the Naruto series, it’s none other than Naruto Uzumaki who holds the title of the best in Taijutsu. Unlike Might Guy, who required assistance to bypass Madara’s defense, Naruto managed to do it solo. He is quicker, has quicker reflexes, and packs a stronger punch. With his Taijutsu skills alone, Naruto can overpower a more powerful Madara.

Additionally, Naruto managed to equal the might of Kaguya’s 80 Gods Vacuum Fist, the pinnacle of physical combat, single-handedly. He has the ability to amplify his physical power using Six Paths Chakra and summon enough force to overpower Kaguya as well.

In summary, Naruto demonstrated remarkable prowess in hand-to-hand combat (Taijutsu) against Momoshiki Otsutsuki, and his ability escalated significantly after fusion with Kinshiki. To add to this, when using Baryon Mode, Naruto’s Taijutsu became invincible, making it impossible for even gods to reach him. At the pinnacle of his abilities, Naruto excels in Taijutsu, a fact that is often overlooked despite his immense talent. However, this doesn’t diminish the impressive skills of Guy and Lee – they simply aren’t as powerful as Naruto.
