DICE Clarifies How Bots Work In Battlefield 6 Beta

As a fellow gaming enthusiast getting ready for the launch of Battlefield 6, I’m excited to share that we can anticipate AI bots stepping in to ensure full matches when there aren’t enough human players. However, during the Open Beta phase for Battlefield 6, you won’t find AI bots everywhere – so grab this opportunity to team up with real players and make your mark!

On a recent social media update, the Battlefield 6 developers explained the role of artificial intelligence (AI) characters, often referred to as “bots” or “AI soldiers,” in the upcoming beta version of the game.

During this ‘Breakthrough Initiation’ week, AI soldiers will be found exclusively in the training grounds playlists of our open beta version.

The Breakthrough Initiation playlist offers you the chance to join forces with 15 other players in a game where Breakthrough takes place. After the initial player count, AI soldiers are added to complete the match.

The Training Grounds playlists, as DICE mentions, serve to familiarize newcomers with the essential aspects of Breakthrough. These playlists provide a more streamlined gaming experience compared to a regular lobby.

They mentioned that you can enjoy the game mode ‘Breakthrough’ without AI Soldiers by selecting it from the highlighted playlist. However, the ‘Training Grounds’ feature is only accessible for the initial 15 levels; after reaching these ranks, it will no longer be visible in the user interface.

As we approach August 9, when Battlefield 6’s “open” part kicks off, hundreds of thousands of players have already signed up for its beta testing phase. It seems that concerns about bots featuring in regular matches can be put to rest, as they will not be included.

In the gaming world, I’m all set to let you know that sometimes, bots might join our gaming sessions if there aren’t enough human players for a match. These bots can be quite handy too, especially when it comes to setting up custom game modes in Portal. Jac Carlsson from DICE explained this feature perfectly – it lets us practice and hone our skills against these AI opponents!
