Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have managed to unveil another Shiny Treasures of Ruin distribution. Over the next few days, fans playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can access the internet to secure a radiant Shiny Chien-Pao for their collections, as well as some extra Tera Shards.
Originally named the Ruinous Pokemon, Chien-Pao is one of the four artifacts from destruction hailing from the Paldea region – a legendary group that were imprisoned in sanctuaries. Known for its Ice and Dark dual-type, this Legendary being boasts impressive attack and speed stats, making it adept at swiftly defeating foes with precision. Between August 3rd and 17th, players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have the chance to challenge a radiant version of Chien-Pao in Five-Star Tera Raid dens scattered across Paldea. This Shiny variant of Chien-Pao possesses Ice as its Tera type, but normally cannot be captured after vanquishing it within a Tera Raid battle.
Players successfully defeated Shiny Chien-Pao in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet over 2.9 million times before its raid window ended, six days early! As a result, a special Mystery Gift event will be held starting on August 21 at 8:00 PM Eastern, allowing trainers to claim their very own Shiny Chien-Pao. Plus, if players manage to defeat Shiny Chien-Pao an additional 400,000 times beyond the first million, they’ll also receive a bonus gift of 400 Tera Shards! The window for claiming this Mystery Gift will remain open until September 30. Happy training, trainers!

In the games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, having a Nintendo Switch Online membership isn’t mandatory to obtain any Mystery Gift offers. Trainers can download the Shiny Wo-Chien, the initial Shiny Treasure of Ruin, without taking part in any Tera Raid battle windows. This rare Shiny Pokemon was defeated approximately 3.5 million times, well before its spotlight ended, which is more than the current number of defeats for Shiny Chien-Pao during its raid window.
Additional Shiny Treasures of Ruin combatants are set to join Tera Raid dens in the near future, as Shiny Ting-Lu will be introduced on August 17th at 8:00 PM Eastern time. Coinciding with this and a prolonged Farigiraf Mystery Gift distribution event, players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet now have a great opportunity to expand their Pokedex collections.
