Yet, amidst this breathtaking ascent, I find myself yearning for more depth in the relationships around him – they often seem secondary, like chess pieces moved only to serve Jinwoo’s destiny. Over time, the narrative feels somewhat one-dimensional and predictable, which is a tad disappointing considering its immense potential.

Demon Slayer skillfully handles a varied group of characters and crafts a story that puts the spotlight on each secondary figure, making viewers deeply involved in every fight due to their shared backstories and challenges. With the whole cast’s personal histories unveiled, fans find themselves emotionally connected to each battle, even when the main character is not part of an incident. In the Infinity Castle arc, one of the most thrilling confrontations occurs between Kokushibo and Muichiro, Sanemi, Gyomei, and Genya – a clash that stands out as the most significant fight of the arc despite Tanjiro and Muzan not being present. The emotional intensity remains high due to the well-developed side characters. However, Solo Leveling fails in this aspect.

Remarkably, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Akaza Returns is significantly marked by Tanjiro’s relentless pursuit of vengeance and a monumental showdown with Akaza. However, this intense conflict could only reach its peak following Rengoku’s poignant demise, which bore a significant emotional burden. Over the course of years, the tension was meticulously crafted, and when Kamado finally faced off against Akaza, viewers were left spellbound.
