It appears that AMD is planning to expand its existing Ryzen series from the current generation by introducing two new CPUs: the AMD Ryzen 5 9500F and Ryzen 7 9700F. These processors were recently discovered at an online store, hinting towards their imminent release in the upcoming weeks or months.
The two processors are designed for the AM5 socket, which means they are compatible with existing motherboards that support the AM5 standard.
Information about the specifics of the new CPUs isn’t completely revealed yet, but certain details have emerged. As per online listings, the Ryzen 5 9500F is speculated to boast 6 cores and 12 threads, with a top speed of 5.0 GHz. It is also said to come with 38MB cache, and a TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 65W.
Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7 9700F is categorized as an eight-core, twelve-thread central processing unit (CPU) and boasts a thermal design power (TDP) of 65 watts. Notably, neither processor comes equipped with integrated graphics, as denoted by the “F” in its name.

In terms of pricing, it’s still uncertain. Shop BLT lists the AMD Ryzen 5 9500F for $217 and the Ryzen 7 9700F for $294. However, due to market fluctuations and daily changes, no price information can be considered definitive.
Although these retail listings appear reliable, it’s crucial to remember that the technical specifications haven’t been verified yet. Since AMD hasn’t scheduled any events to unveil their upcoming processors, all this information should be considered preliminary at best until official confirmation arrives.
AMD has yet to provide a comment regarding the new CPUs, and it’s unclear when they might become available. This article will be revised as soon as we receive any updates from AMD.
