He mentioned it was an exhilarating experience to bring this legendary MI6 agent to life within the gaming world. Before landing this part, Gibson had a notable role as Dexter in 2025’s Dexter: Original Sin.

Gibson also shared some intriguing details about the cast – Lennie James has been tapped to play Bond’s mentor, Greenway, while Priyanga Burford will take on the role of M. In addition, Alastair Mackenzie appears as Q, Kiera Lester plays the part of Moneypenny, and Noemie Nakai joins the game as Miss Roth, a character Bond partners with for a thrilling car chase, as shown in the detailed gameplay video.

007: First Light is shaping up to be a distinctively standout title within the James Bond series of video games. Unlike many other Bond games that have typically opted for well-known actors like Sean Connery and Daniel Craig, this game chooses an unconventional actor for the main role. This departure from using popular faces adds a fresh twist to the game, making it unique in its casting choice.

IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game is set to be released on shelves on March 27, 2026.
