Cronos The New Dawn: Steelworks Oddity Puzzle

In a survival horror setting, puzzles play a significant role and often serve as stepping stones for advancement. However, in the game Cronos: The New Dawn, although there are fewer puzzles, those that exist can sometimes be perplexing to many players, as they must grapple with finding solutions amidst the game’s unnerving settings and narrative while also navigating its challenging dynamics.

In the game, one of the challenges in the Desert Region involves moving certain obstructions that are blocked by a mysterious phenomenon called the “Temporal Anomaly.” Here’s a guide on how to solve this puzzle in the game, Cronos: The New Dawn.

How To Solve the Time Oddity Puzzle in the Desert Region in Cronos: The New Dawn

Heading towards the Steelworks in Sector A-11, your task will shift, and you’ll have to maneuver through the Dive Point instead. This area is consistently swept by a sandstorm, making exploration tricky. To help navigate, use the R3 button to follow the objective marker. Eventually, you’ll encounter a dilapidated building linked to the Steelworks. Inside this structure, you’ll find a Time Oddity puzzle. Interact with the orb located on the right once inside the building.

There are a few wooden crates on your left, which have Energy that you can use for upgrades.

After encountering the orb, you might notice a section of the wreckage has been raised slightly, yet it hasn’t led to an opening. What many players often overlook and spend time searching for outside the building is that another Time Oddity orb can be found within the building, hidden on the ceiling behind you. It’s quite easy to miss this one. Once you activate both orbs, here’s what you should do next:

  • Head to the right of the building.
  • After that, interact with the orb through the window to move the pallet down.
  • Interact with the orb again to raise it up, allowing you to head inside the next building and progress through the story.
