In the Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 12th, it was announced that the digital release of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is scheduled for October 30th. The physical copies will be available starting December 12th. This collection encompasses several games from the Mortal Kombat series.
Back at the June 2025 State of Play event, we learned about the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. This collection will feature the initial arcade fight series of Mortal Kombat, including Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Moreover, two spin-offs from the PlayStation period – Mortal Kombat Anthologies: Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat: Special Forces – will also be part of the package. To sweeten the deal for fans, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will include exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and videos that delve into the history of NetherRealm Studios’ iconic fighting game franchise.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Will Have Two Release Dates
- Digital: October 30
- Physical: December 12
Despite earlier speculation about a September launch for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, fans don’t have long to wait anymore. The Nintendo Direct on September 12 revealed that the release of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection would actually be spread across two dates. Starting from October 30, digital copies can be obtained, while physical versions will be available starting December 12. Both digital and physical versions of the game will be available for Nintendo Switch and its presumed successor. Pre-orders for the physical editions of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection are now open on Atari’s official website.
