The much-anticipated next installment in the series, titled “Hades 2”, is set to depart early access on September 25, making its debut on PC, Nintendo Switch (versions 1 and 2). While fans will have to exercise a bit more patience until November 20 for the release of the physical version of “Hades 2”, console ports are expected at a later date. However, the official launch of this action-packed indie game is quickly approaching!
Following its initial unveiling at The Game Awards 2022, “Hades 2” made its debut in early access on PC in May 2024. Over the subsequent year and a half, “Hades 2” was continually updated, culminating with the significant update known as “The Unseen Update,” which arrived on June 17, 2025. An additional smaller patch followed in July of the same year.
Hades 2 Releases on Switch Consoles and PC September 25
From now on, the much-anticipated game Hades 2 is set to step out of its early access and PC exclusivity, making a grand entrance in the gaming world. During the Nintendo Direct presentation on September 12, Hades 2 officially announced its digital release date as September 25, 2025, on the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC. Interestingly, Hades 2 will be a Nintendo console exclusive for a brief period, although the roguelike sequel is destined to appear on Xbox and PlayStation consoles at a later, currently undisclosed date. The physical copy of the game will hit the shelves on November 20.
