In Borderlands 4, the Vault Hunters will determine the future of Kairos, but not all missions are equally important. The main storyline is expected to be more dramatic than before, while the side quests will maintain the series’ signature humor and lightheartedness.
In *Borderlands 4*, the “Electroshock Therapy” side quest is an early, straightforward mission designed to help you gain a few levels. However, one section of the quest can be tricky, so we’ve put together this guide to help you get through it.
Finding Professor Ambreleigh
Science Never Sleeps
To begin the Electroshock Therapy quest in *Borderlands 4*, talk to Professor Ambreleigh. She’s a Ripper who can still hold a reasonably normal conversation. You’ll find her just east of the Someday Rise Safehouse. She needs your help gathering materials for a potential cure for Ripper psychosis and to get her machine working, so make sure you’re prepared and get your Digirunner ready for some quick trips around the area.
Where to Find Ordonite and Eridium Samples for Electroshock Therapy
Go, Vault Hunter, Fetch!

This part of the quest is a bit challenging. You’ll need to gather one Ordonite and one Eridium sample from two locations close to the professor’s shack.
Ordonite Sample Location

To get the Ordonite sample, head to the Order compound, which is directly across the street from Ambreleigh’s garage. You’ll need to eliminate all the Order members inside. Then, find the two silos connected by yellow pipes. The sample is located on some crates positioned between those pipes.
Eridium Sample Location

The Eridium sample is a bit further ahead. Go to the location marked on your map and defeat the Rippers there. Once the area is clear, find the large Eridium crystal growing on top of a machine near the fields. You might need to shoot it to collect the sample. Just so you know, this particular sample won’t add to your total Eridium count.
Assembling the Machine
Therapy Time

Okay, so I headed back to the professor and carefully attached the Ordenite and Eridium samples to her machine. Just as I was about to turn it on, Ambreleigh stopped me – apparently, we still needed one more thing! She said I needed to get a Meathead’s head to finish the machine, but luckily, one spawns right near the bar outside her house, so that wasn’t too bad.
Defeat the Meathead and bring its head back to the professor and her machine. Once connected, the head will start talking, and you’ll need to hit the remaining body with a close-range weapon to prepare the machine. Follow Ambreleigh’s directions and witness her invention work on the person secured to it.
