After the Nintendo Direct on September 12th, Square Enix announced that anyone who buys a physical copy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade for the Switch 2 will also receive a special booster pack for the Magic: The Gathering set that features Final Fantasy. However, this MTG booster pack is a limited-time offer and will only be included as long as supplies last.
Square Enix had a significant presence in the September 12 Nintendo Direct. They announced that Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is in development and confirmed Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be released on the Switch 2 and Xbox on January 22, 2026. This version includes the complete game, the Episode INTERmission DLC, and bonus in-game items like the Carbuncle Summon Materia. Players who pre-order the digital version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on the Nintendo eShop before January 31 will also receive a free digital download of the original Final Fantasy 7.
FF7 Remake Intergrade Will Include Some MTG Cards
Fans getting *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade* on the Switch 2 will receive a special bonus: a *Magic: The Gathering* booster pack. Square Enix announced that physical copies of the game will include a pack with 14 random cards from the *Magic: The Gathering* and *Final Fantasy* collaboration, while supplies last. The digital version sold as a game key card will not include this bonus. It’s unknown if the Xbox version of the game will have a similar promotion.
You can now pre-order *FF7 Remake Intergrade* on Amazon and Best Buy for $40. The new *Magic: The Gathering* expansion heavily features *Final Fantasy 7*, with many cards inspired by the game. These cards are playable in both Commander and Standard formats. The expansion’s Starter Kit includes Cloud Strife and Sephiroth, and there’s even a whole Commander deck built around Cloud. Other iconic characters and places from *Final Fantasy 7* also appear throughout the set.

Currently, a booster pack for the *Magic: The Gathering* version of *Final Fantasy* costs around $15. This makes the upcoming Switch 2 version of *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade* particularly appealing to fans. Since Square Enix plans to release all three *Final Fantasy 7 Remake* games on current consoles, it’s unclear how long Switch 2 owners will have to wait for the other two installments.
