Okay, so I just saw that Pocketpair finally announced when *Palworld* is leaving Early Access! It’s happening in 2026, which is awesome. They haven’t given us a specific date yet, but at least we know it’s actually coming – that’s a huge relief!

Palworld launched to massive success in early 2024. It quickly became one of the most popular games on Steam, reaching over 2.1 million players at its peak. The game sold millions of copies in its first few days and, although player numbers have leveled off, it still has a dedicated fanbase. Many players quickly dubbed it “Pokemon with guns,” a catchy description that drew a lot of attention.

Palworld Has More Surprises in Store Before 1.0 Release in 2026

Pocketpair has announced that the full 1.0 version of *Palworld* is planned for release sometime in 2026. While the game has received many updates since its initial launch, this represents a major step forward for the developers. In a recent YouTube video, John “Bucky” Buckley explained that the team is currently focused on refining and improving the game before leaving Early Access. They believe taking the time to address existing issues will result in a higher-quality final product, with a target release year of 2026.

Bucky announced that the team will be less active for the remainder of the year. The upcoming Winter update won’t be as substantial as last year’s major Feybreak update, which came out in December 2024. Still, the studio has “a few surprises” in store for the rest of 2025.

Don’t worry about the future of *Palworld*. The developers have made it clear they aren’t slowing down development – in fact, they’re speeding it up! The 1.0 update will include a huge amount of new content. If everything goes as planned, the game will officially launch in 2026 after more than two years in Early Access, and there are hopes for even more updates after that.
