The Flip Out challenge in *Skate* begins near the Extravert Shop in Hedgemont. To complete all four objectives, you’ll need to land a double flip trick over the gap by the booth and a body flip off the planter. This guide will walk you through how to do both of those tricks and finish every goal in the Flip Out challenge.
To complete this challenge in *Skate*, it’s best to stick to simple tricks, since the attempt will restart if you fail one. You also need to make sure you touch all 11 bearings during your run.
Skate Flip Out Challenge Guide
Total Attempt Score (3,000)
To achieve this, players need to score 3,000 points in a single run. Because there’s no time limit, it’s fairly straightforward – just keep doing tricks until you reach the target score, then complete the final step. The catch is you have to land every trick; missing the board will reset your progress and score.
Double Flip Trick the Gap at the Booth

After you get the fifth bearing, you’ll find a booth where you need to do a double flip trick. Approach the edge of the booth and perform either a kickflip or a heelflip, letting the board rotate twice before landing on the concrete seats on the other side of the gap. To do this, hold up and diagonally left or right on the right joystick to execute a continuous flip trick.
A yellow star in the sky shows players where to perform a double flip to get across a gap.
Body Flip Off the Planter
The planter appears right after the ninth rail. To start, pull up on the right joystick to ollie onto the concrete platform between the two ramps. Then, ollie off the platform’s far edge and, while in the air, hold either the left or right trigger and press down on the left joystick. This will make your skater do a backflip over the planter. If you land successfully, you’ll complete the goal.
There is a yellow circle in the air that marks the planter.
All the Above in an Attempt
To complete this challenge, players need to score 3,000 points, successfully perform a double flip trick over the gap by the booth, and do a body flip off the planter before collecting the last bearing. Since there’s no time limit, Skate players should be able to achieve all of these goals in one try.
