For September 25th, the Epic Games Store is offering two free games: *Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy* and *Eastern Exorcist*. These games will wrap up the Epic Games Store’s free game offerings for September.
Between September 11th and 18th, Epic Games Store users could get Ghostrunner 2, Monument Valley 2, and The Battle of Polytopia for free. Now, those games have been swapped out for two new freebies: Samorost 2 and Project Winter.
The Epic Games Store has announced its next free games: Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy. They’ll be available to download starting September 25th at 8 AM Pacific Time, 11 AM Eastern Time, or 5 PM Central European Time. You’ll have one week to claim them, just like with the store’s usual weekly freebies.

What Is Eastern Excorcist?
Developed by Wildfire Game, Eastern Exorcist is a 2D action RPG with a unique art style inspired by traditional Chinese ink wash painting. While it didn’t achieve massive commercial success, the game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam since its 2021 launch. Originally priced at $17.99 for PC, Eastern Exorcist became available for free on mobile devices through the Epic Games Store in March 2025. It had never been offered for free on PC before.
What Is Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy?
Created by Double Dash Studios and Copa Studio, *Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy* is a funny point-and-click adventure game based on the Brazilian cartoon *Jorel’s Brother*. The game follows an eight-year-old boy who lives life overshadowed by his more popular older brother, and features a story packed with surprises and quirky characters. Originally released as separate episodes, the complete game is now available for $14.99. Similar to *Eastern Exorcist*, this 2023 adventure game has received “Very Positive” reviews from players on Steam.
Okay, so while we’re all hyped for whatever free games Epic’s giving away in September 2025, they’ve already dropped a couple we can grab right now! I just claimed *Project Winter*, which looks like a really intense survival game where you have to watch your back because anyone could be a traitor – up to eight of us can play! Then there’s *Samorost 2*, and it’s totally different. It’s this weird, beautiful adventure where you play as a gnome trying to rescue his dog…and it takes place in space! It’s a really cool, artsy vibe.
