How to Farm Poppy in Dying Light: The Beast

In *Dying Light: The Beast*, Poppy is a key ingredient for crafting helpful items. Players need to find and gather this rare flower themselves. However, finding Poppy can be tricky because the Castor Woods map is large and full of dense forests, making it hard to locate specific resources.

Okay, so if you’re like me and trying to level up your Damage Boosters – or any other consumables, really – in *Dying Light: The Beast*, and you’re seriously short on Poppy, this guide is going to be a lifesaver. It’ll show you how to farm this resource and get everything upgraded!

Where to Farm Poppy in Dying Light: The Beast

Poppies are red flowers that grow hidden deep within Castor Woods, making them difficult to find, even with careful searching. These flowers are essential for crafting powerful boosters – like those that increase damage, restore health, or provide resistance – all crucial for surviving in *Dying Light: The Beast*.

As a big fan, I’ve been looking for ways to get Poppy early in the game, and I’ve found a few places where you can snag her. Getting her early is awesome because she really helps boost your Consumables, making them way more effective!

  • The cliff overlooking the Monastery Safe Spot.
  • Behind the Town Hall, on a small plot of land.
  • The rooftop Garden over the Monkeys Mural, near Town Hall (there are 2 Cordyceps and 1 Lavender plant here as well).

If you’re having trouble finding the places we mentioned, we’ve created a handy interactive map to help. We’ll be updating it frequently with new discoveries as our team explores more of Castor Woods, so be sure to check back often!

Be warned: the information below may reveal key plot points from the main story of Dying Light: The Beast. Continue reading at your own risk.

Okay, so after you get a ways into *Dying Light: The Beast*, you’ll unlock some really good spots to farm Poppy. The main story isn’t super long, thankfully, but you need to get to the Farmlands and Villa areas – they’re north of Castor Woods – to access them. Here’s where I’ve been finding the rest of the Poppy I need.

  • Golden Pin Park, Behind Memorial Hill (near a bush full of flowers).
  • Raven’s Rest Farmhouse, south Exile’s Cave (there’s one plant growing alongside two Camomile plants and a Honey Farming Spot).
  • Exile’s Cave Vendor (Jenna).

Jenna, the vendor in the Exile’s Cave, usually has 2 or 3 Poppy available each day. To get more, players can rest at the Cave’s safe area, then restart the game. This refreshes her stock, allowing you to buy all the Poppy she has. You can repeat this process as many times as needed to collect the desired amount.

The most reliable way to get Poppy later in the game is by repeatedly searching the farmhouse at Raven’s Rest. This location is also a great source of crafting materials. You can find Feathers inside the Chicken Coop, Fuel in the abandoned cars, and other useful items like Rags, Pigments, and Weights.
