A new mod for Borderlands 4 is now available that gives players more space in their inventory and bank. It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys collecting loot and wants to avoid discarding useful items.
The *Borderlands* games haven’t traditionally been popular for player-created modifications, or ‘mods.’ While *Borderlands 3* did have some interesting mods released over several years, players shouldn’t anticipate a large number of them right away in the new game. It’s harder to create mods without official tools, so it’s impressive that any exist at all. Hopefully, we’ll see some cool *Borderlands 4* mods in the future, and fans are already beginning to make them.
New Borderlands 4 Mod Massively Increases Backpack Size
A new mod called Big Backpacks is now available on Nexus Mods for *Borderlands 4*. It significantly expands your backpack and bank storage, with adjustable settings to suit your needs. You can increase your backpack size up to a massive 999 slots! The mod creator, Caites, notes that the 999-item version is still in testing and might have issues, but more stable, smaller-size options are also available.

Okay, so the best part about this Big Backpacks mod? The creator, Caites, says it plays nice with *everything* else I have installed, which is huge. And get this – it doesn’t mess up my achievement progress! I heard it even works in co-op for *Borderlands 4*, which means I can finally team up with my friends and actually *carry* all the awesome loot we find. Seriously, as someone deep into the endgame and constantly farming for better gear, this is a lifesaver. Plus, I can still upgrade my SKUs normally, so that’s a big win too.

I’ve been checking Nexus Mods for *Borderlands 4* mods, and right now there are 66 of them. It shows the modding community is still pretty small for the game, but honestly, it’s awesome to see people already working on things! A few of the mods actually help fix the performance issues on PC, which is a huge relief. It’s great to see the community stepping up!
