How to Evolve Dunsparce into Dudunsparce in Pokemon GO

This month, players of Pokemon GO will finally be able to catch Dudunsparce, the Land Snake Pokemon! It’s appearing as part of the Completely Normal event, starting September 23rd. Dudunsparce evolved from Dunsparce, a Normal-type Pokemon that originally debuted in Generation 2, and was first introduced in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games in 2022.

The newest Pokémon, Dudunsparce, looks quite similar to its previous form, Dunsparce. If you’re trying to catch every Pokémon in Pokémon GO, here’s how to evolve Dunsparce into Dudunsparce.

Land Snake’s Evo Is Here

Okay, so if you’re like me and excited about the Completely Normal event (it kicks off at 10 am local time on Tuesday, September 23rd), you’re in luck! Getting Dudunsparce is super easy – just feed your Dunsparce 50 Candy! Seriously, that’s it. No complicated friendship levels or needing to evolve it at a specific time – it’s a straightforward evolution, which is awesome!

During the event (which ends September 27th at 8 PM local time), you’ll have a much better chance of finding Dunsparce! The game will feature more of the Land Snake Pokémon than usual. Plus, you can complete special research tasks and a collection challenge for even more opportunities to catch one.

If you’re willing to spend a small amount, you can also purchase a $2 Timed Research to find even more Dunsparce.

During the Completely Normal event, you’ll earn twice as much Candy when you catch Pokémon. Use Pinap Berries along with this, and you’ll easily collect the 50 Candy needed to evolve them.

Can Dunsparce and Dudunsparce Be Shiny?

Yes and No

While you can currently find a shiny Dunsparce in *Pokémon GO*, the new evolution, Dudunsparce, doesn’t have a shiny version available yet.

I was checking out pictures of Dunsparce, its Shiny version, and the evolved form, Dudunsparce, and it’s really cool to see how the colors change! Also, something I found out is that Dudunsparce actually has two different forms in the main games – a Two-Segment Form and a Three-Segment Form. Basically, the ‘segments’ just refer to the different parts that make up its body!

Dunsparce usually evolves into a Dudunsparce with two segments. However, there’s a rare 1% chance of getting a Dudunsparce with three segments. It’s currently unknown if these odds will be the same in Pokémon GO.
