Dying Light: The Beast still holds many secrets, and the Beaver’s Stick-a rare Legendary Weapon found in Castor Woods-is particularly hard to find. The search begins with locating a Beaver’s Dam deep within the woods, and then finding the special stick that goes with it.
To get a powerful new weapon for fighting zombies in *Dying Light: The Beast*, you’ll need to find all the Mysterious Sticks and then locate the Beaver’s Cave. This guide shows you exactly where to find all the collectible sticks, how to repair the Beaver’s Dam, and how to find the Beaver’s Cave and the Beaver’s Stick.
How To Find The Beaver’s Dam in Dying Light: The Beast
In *Dying Light: The Beast*, you can find the Beaver’s Dam and the first Mysterious Stick by heading to the Castor Woods River and following it to the very southwest corner of the map. At the edge of the map, look along the riverbank for a lone Beaver’s Dam. Use your Survivor Sense to locate a collectible nearby – this will be the first of six Mysterious Sticks you need to collect, so start exploring!
All Mysterious Stick Locations in Dying Light: The Beast

- Starting from the Dam marked on the Map as ‘1’, players should move downstream slightly to find the first stick, located close to the Beaver’s Dam.
- The Next one (2) is located a little bit further down the stream, near the shore.
- For the third one, players need to cross the riverbank and follow one of the branches that heads north (3).
- The fourth one is located near the riverbank of Old Town (4).
- The Fifth will be crossing the shore of Paradise Island into the Asylum (5).
- The last one is located under the bridge that connects the Mountain region with the Farmlands and Villa Area (6).
Okay, so I’ve got all the spots marked on the image where you can find those Mysterious Sticks. In the video, I show you 5 locations because I’d already found the first one before I started recording – it’s up on the Dam. If you’re looking for that first stick specifically, check the green rock just above the Dam on the south side of the river.
How To Get Beaver’s Stick Legendary Weapon in Dying Light: The Beast
Players now need to return to the Dam and carefully replace each stick, using Survivor Sense until they hear a faint sound. Then, they should go to any Safe Zone and sleep until morning to progress with the puzzle. After waking up, they need to return to the Dam, where they’ll find the water level has dropped.
After climbing over the Beaver Dam, dive down to the riverbed on the southern side. Look for an underwater cave entrance hidden by algae. Inside, follow the tunnel until you find a Workbench and a strange arrangement – it seems someone has been preparing for the apocalypse in this ‘Beaver Cave.’ Remember the Workbench, then turn around to find a place to sleep. Interact with it and choose ‘Rest until night’ to enter a bizarre nightmare sequence where a Zombie Beaver will attack Kyle Crane.
This enemy can’t be harmed by normal attacks. To defeat it, you need to get the Beaver’s Stick from the Workbench and equip it. After defeating the enemy, you can go back to sleep to escape the nightmare, and you’ll unlock the crafting blueprint for the Beaver’s Stick. While it can’t be modified with weapon attachments, the Beaver’s Stick is incredibly powerful because it always knocks enemies down.
