A major free update is coming to *Disney Dreamlight Valley* on October 1st, and *Beauty and the Beast* fans will be especially excited! While players have been anticipating the new Wishblossom Ranch, the game’s creators at Gameloft Montreal have also been working on some additional surprises for those who play the free-to-play version.
Gameloft first announced the Wishblossom Ranch expansion for *Disney Dreamlight Valley* in early September. This downloadable content adds a new area focused on horse training and ranch restoration. While a detailed showcase is scheduled for October 15th, Gameloft also plans to share another significant update before then.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Return to Beast’s Castle Release Date

Players following the development of *Disney Dreamlight Valley* already knew another *Beauty and the Beast* update was planned for fall 2025, but now we have a specific date! The developers announced on Twitter that a new story, “Return to Beast’s Castle,” will arrive as a free update on October 1st. While details are currently scarce – the official news page hasn’t been updated in a few weeks – it sounds like there are still many exciting surprises to come.
With the renewed interest in *Beauty and the Beast*, some *Disney Dreamlight Valley* players are hoping to see the Beast in his human form within the game. Players have noted that the game includes transformations for Ursula and Ariel from *The Little Mermaid*, showing both their human and mermaid appearances. While the Beast has been available in the game since September 13, 2023, players haven’t yet seen what his princely form would look like, and are eager to see Gameloft’s take on it.
Following the recent update on October 1st, players are excited to see what Halloween events are planned for the game this year. Last year, the Halloween event in *Disney Dreamlight Valley* received criticism for being very similar to the previous year’s, and the October Star Path focused on concerts, which left some fans hoping for a spookier theme. This year’s October Star Path could be different. When one fan expressed concern that Halloween content would be disappointing again in 2025, the game’s social media team responded with just an eyes emoji, hinting at something new.
