One Piece Characters Who Can Surpass Davy D. Xebec

Davy D. Xebec, most famously known as Rocks D. Xebec, led the Rocks Pirates, a fearsome group that ruled the seas years before the events of the current story. His crew was made up of incredibly strong and dangerous individuals, each with unique and deadly powers.

The crew remained united solely due to Davy D. Xebec’s superior strength. He built a powerful legacy, and very few have ever surpassed it.

Marshall D. Teach

The Descendant Of Davy D. Xebec

Marshall D. Teach, famously known as Blackbeard, leads the Blackbeard Pirates. He spent years as a fugitive before joining Whitebeard’s crew, where he stayed until a crewmate named Thatch discovered a powerful Devil Fruit. Driven by greed, Blackbeard killed Thatch and stole the fruit for himself. He later acquired another Devil Fruit, making him the only person in the world with two. His first fruit lets him cancel out the powers of other Devil Fruits, giving him a huge edge in battle. The second fruit allows him to create devastating earthquakes capable of instantly destroying entire islands.

Blackbeard, the son of the legendary Davy D. Xebec, comes from a powerful family line. He’s determined to find the One Piece and already has three of the crucial Road Poneglyphs. But his ambitions don’t stop there – he may even want to rule the world, just like his father. While he knows it will be a difficult journey, Blackbeard believes his careful planning and strong crew could help him succeed and even exceed his father’s accomplishments.

Monkey D. Luffy

I’m a huge fan of Monkey D. Luffy! He’s the incredible captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, and now one of the most powerful pirates around – a true Emperor of the Sea! Ever since we first met him, all Luffy’s ever wanted is to find the One Piece and become the Pirate King, and honestly, he just keeps smashing through anyone who tries to stop him. It’s amazing to watch!

Luffy has rapidly become incredibly powerful to face increasingly dangerous opponents. He now possesses all three forms of Haki, including their advanced techniques, and can also amplify his attacks using his Devil Fruit’s awakened abilities. While Luffy is still getting stronger, he’s expected to eventually surpass Davy D. Xebec. This will probably happen later in the final arc of the story, considering Xebec was an exceptionally strong pirate from a previous generation.

Shanks

The Strongest Active Yonko

  • Devil Fruit: No

Many fans consider Shanks to be the most powerful character currently in the story, particularly now that Kaido and Big Mom have been defeated. He’s generally a laid-back person who avoids conflict when possible, but he’s willing to fight when necessary. Despite his strength, Shanks has never truly fought at full power, because he hasn’t needed to.

Shanks demonstrated his incredible power by intimidating Ryokugyu, a Navy Admiral, during the Wano arc. When he met Eustass Kid near Elbaf, Shanks didn’t take him lightly. Using his ability to foresee the future, Shanks anticipated the damage Kid’s attack would cause to his fleet, and quickly defeated Kid with his Divine Departure technique. These actions clearly show Shanks is an immensely strong pirate, and he’s likely surpassed the strength of Davy D. Xebec.

Sakazuki

The Fleet Admiral Of The Marines

  • Devil Fruit: Magu Magu no Mi

Sakazuki is now the highest-ranking officer in the Marines, having become Fleet Admiral after defeating Kuzan in a fierce battle on Punk Hazard. Since taking the position, he’s implemented significant changes, strengthening the Marines and making them more aggressive. Sakazuki’s power comes from the Magu Magu no Mi, a powerful Devil Fruit known for its incredible destructive capabilities. He’s also skilled in two types of Haki, further enhancing his abilities.

I often hear people underestimate the Marines, thinking they don’t have anyone who could go toe-to-toe with someone like Xebec. But that’s just not true. Considering Sakazuki is the Fleet Admiral, it makes sense he’s powerful enough to challenge guys like Luffy and Blackbeard. So, it’s reasonable to think he’s either already surpassed Xebec, or will do so soon.

Monkey D. Dragon

The Supreme Commander Of The Revolutionary Army

  • Devil Fruit: Unknown

When Monkey D. Dragon was a young Marine, he witnessed the terrible events at God Valley. He saw how cruelly the Celestial Dragons treated ordinary people, and this showed him the true nature of the World Government. This experience led him to create the Freedom Fighters, which eventually became the Revolutionary Army.

Dragon earned the title of “Worst Criminal in the World” because he became a major enemy of the World Government. While the full extent of his power is unknown, many believe he’s exceptionally strong – otherwise, he wouldn’t dare openly oppose and challenge those in power.
