Blizzard recently gave fans another glimpse of the upcoming “Wolf of Retribution”-likely Hero 45 in *Overwatch 2*-through a new Story Time comic featuring Ramattra and Zenyatta. The comic shows a shadowy figure, described as a threat associated with the Talon organization, wielding a large sword amidst an explosion.
A new comic called “Reconciliation” features narration by Ramon Tikaram, the voice of Ramattra. It wraps up a two-year-old storyline in *Overwatch 2* with a conversation between Ramattra and Zenyatta, who discuss the recent actions and plans of Null Sector.
“The Wolf of Retribution” Appears in New Overwatch 2 Comic
This Story Time comic offers more than just a chat between famous Overwatch robots. Ramattra discusses his uneasy partnership with Talon, mentioning the difficulties he’s faced while working with them. He warns that “Talon’s problems may soon become the world’s problems,” and this is shown alongside an image of a shadowy figure with a large sword, standing before a huge explosion.

This character is likely the “Wolf of Retribution,” a figure hinted at in promotional materials for the Overwatch 2 Stadium map, specifically a banner and weapon display. The pose on the banner closely matches the one in this comic, and both resemble a sketch shown during an Overwatch 2 event earlier this year. The main difference is the comic version has a much larger, energy-based weapon, which aligns with a recent sound teaser from the game’s developers.
This short preview shows off the Wolf of Retribution’s weapon and gives clues about her past. We previously thought she was just a gladiator fighting in the Colosseo map of Overwatch 2, but it now seems she has a history with the villainous organization, Talon.
It’s almost certain that the next hero for *Overwatch 2* is Hero 45, and fans shouldn’t have to wait long to find out more. Based on past hero releases, we can expect a reveal around the middle of Season 19, which begins on October 14th. This means players will probably get a chance to try out the new hero in November, before they’re officially added to the game in December with Season 20. For now, all we can do is guess who this mysterious hero is and how they’ll impact gameplay.
