Wednesday was a huge day for Monster Hunter fans! We got a first look at the new Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and updates on the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. But that wasn’t all – Level Infinite and TiMi Studio Group, working with Capcom, also revealed a new trailer for Monster Hunter Outlanders, a mobile game. And if you’re going to the Tokyo Game Show this year, you’ll be able to play it before anyone else!
The new Monster Hunter Outlanders trailer, released on Wednesday, introduced Aesoland, a mysterious island that serves as the game’s setting. Unlike the existing Monster Hunter mobile game by Niantic, Outlanders will offer gameplay more similar to the classic Monster Hunter titles. Players will hunt both familiar monsters and new “Radiant Species” – creatures mutated by a local mineral called Radiantite. These Radiant Species are particularly dangerous, as the mineral makes them extremely aggressive and ferocious, so caution is advised.

TiMi Studio Group says the game will be controlled with just one button – you’ll use it for everything from fighting to collecting items and talking to characters. As you explore the island, you’ll meet other players (Adventurers) and helpful companions called Buddies. These Buddies include the popular Palicos, and two new creatures named Rutaco and Trillan.
I’m super hyped for Monster Hunter Outlanders! If you’re going to Tokyo Game Show this year, you can check it out at both the Level Infinite and Capcom booths. For those of us stuck at home, good news – a closed beta is coming in November! I already signed up on the Monster Hunter Outlanders website, and you can too if you want to be among the first to play.
