Ghost of Yotei features hidden Yotei Six Camps that players must discover to save Ezo from Saito. One of these camps is tucked away in the far north of the snowy Teshio Ridge. To reach this secret enemy base, players need to solve a puzzle with fox statues at the Snow’s Blight Shrine. We’ve provided a solution to the puzzle below, along with its location and what rewards await inside, to help ensure Atsu’s success in Ezo.

How to Solve the Snow’s Blight Shrine Puzzle in Ghost of Yotei

The Snow’s Blight Shrine is located in the northern part of Teshio Ridge. To find it, follow the Teshio River westward until you reach the Teshio Coast. There, you’ll discover a wide-open area teeming with enemies, protecting the entrance to a hidden spot. Getting inside requires solving a two-part puzzle. Both parts share a similar principle: you need to release the fox statue and place it on the altar in the center to open the way forward. Snow’s Blight Shrine Fox Puzzle Solution #1

As I explored, I came across four fox statues standing guard over a little fox statue. It turned out to be a puzzle! We need to rotate those fox statues to the right positions. The solution? It’s actually shown by the stone fox statues right above the wooden ones. Here’s the correct order, going from left to right:

  • Facing left
  • Facing forward
  • Facing right
  • Facing backwards

Once you’ve positioned the fox statues correctly, the fox figurine will unlock. You can then pick it up and move it to the podium on the right.

Snow’s Blight Shrine Fox Puzzle Solution #2

On the left side of the area, you’ll see a fire pit with a torch in it. Your task is to grab the torch and use it to light the braziers located behind a chain. These braziers already have a light source. If you accidentally light a brazier that shouldn’t be lit, just walk up to it to extinguish the flame. Here’s the order you need to light them, going from left to right:

  • Lit
  • Unlit
  • Lit
  • Unlit

Completing this step will unlock the fox figurine. You can then pick it up and put it on the podium to the left. This will open a crawl space to the right of the front door, allowing players to enter and discover a cave.

How to Find the Snow’s Blight Hideout in Ghost of Yotei

Enter the cave, and you’ll soon encounter a sharp drop and a cliff face that appears impassable. The solution is simple: reposition the fox statues into their designated spots:

  • Have the left fox statue facing right
  • Have the right fox statue facing left

This will trigger a series of platforms you can cross to get to the next section. Now, ensure the lone fox statue is facing left to activate additional platforms, allowing you to climb through and reach the Snow’s Blight Hideout. This hideout functions as a Yotei Six Camp and is filled with shinobi enemies; you must defeat them all to continue. Once they’re all eliminated, proceed to the main courtyard to challenge the area’s boss. Defeating him will open the way to the left, where you’ll find the Altar to earn a new skill point and fully clear out the hideout.
