Players can find lots of things to collect and places to explore, but getting the Platinum Trophy for Ghost of Yotei will take a significant time commitment. If you’re aiming for 100% completion, finding and clearing all the Fox Dens is essential, as each one rewards you with a Charm.
You might not need to use all of the charms, but each one has a specific purpose. To find Fox Dens, look for the red trees scattered throughout the game world. The following guide will show you the locations of all the Fox Dens required to earn the Guardian of Inari trophy in *Ghost of Yotei*.
All Yotei Grasslands Fox Dens in Ghost of Yotei

Charm of Uncanny Aim | The first Fox is directly below Lake Shikotsu on the map. You must follow the orange fox as it leads you to another fox that you must free. After that, it will lead you to the Inari Shrine, where you can bow down for the charm. |

Charm of Assassin’s Resolve | This red tree is located north of Tranquil Falls, towards the left edge of the map. Follow the fox here to the Inari Shrine. |

Charm of Brutal Volley | This fox is to the slight right of the Golden Foothills, which is north of Yotei Grasslands. You will have to visit this area to progress through the Oni’s questline. Follow the fox, and it will lead you to a ditch where a man cannot get back up. Help him up, and he will take you to a save with the shrine. |

Charm of Resolute Victory | This is above the “K” in Ishikari Fork on the map. When you first reach this den, you will not be able to normally enter, as there is fire everywhere. Go around to find a rock you can climb, then jump to hook across to the fox. It will lead you to a wall you can squeeze through and go onto the Shrine. |

Charm of Archer’s Fortune | This den is to the north of Ohara Plains on the map. Ride your horse there and start following the fox. It will stop multiple times as it leads you to items that you can pick up, and you have to pet them afterward. After a few of these, it will take you to the Shrine. |

Charm of Generous Opponents | This is to the northeast of Kankan Creek. When you follow the fox, be careful, as it will take you over deer traps that you can fall into. At the end, talk to the Ainu to get the charm. There is no shrine here. |

Charm of Lingering Shadows | You can find this south of the Sarafutsu River. There are enemies outside the fox den that you will have to deal with before the fox comes out. You might also run into enemies hiding inside bushes when following the fox. As you go forward, the fox will lead you to more enemies that are guarding cages where the foxes are kept. Deal with the enemies using your weapons and free the foxes to find the shrine up ahead. |
All Oshima Coast Fox Dens in Ghost of Yotei

Charm of the Prepared | For this den, you will need to access the Oshima Coast region, which unlocks after progressing through the Saito Brothers questline. Once here, make your way above the Matsumae Castle to find the last fox den. Follow it to the courtyard, where you can find the Shrine. |
How to Get the Fox Mask in Ghost of Yotei
Once you’ve located all the fox dens and collected the charms, you can head to the Sarafutsu Lighthouse to finish the Side Tale called Encounters of the Wild. This Tale includes a few puzzles, so refer to this guide if you get stuck. Solving the puzzles will lead you to the Hunting Camp Hideout.
There is no need to worry about enemies because there are none.
Release the fox here, then follow it to the Sanctuary Grove. Head towards the house and speak with the Settler to complete the quest. Afterward, you can follow the deer to a nearby Altar of Reflection. Once finished, talk to the woman again – she’ll reward you with Inari’s Cunning Mask, and you’ll also unlock a trophy.
