One Piece features many incredibly strong characters. Some are still alive and part of the ongoing story, while others have passed away. Regardless, each of these powerful figures presents a significant challenge to the main character, Luffy.

Luffy is already incredibly powerful as one of the Four Emperors, but the final part of the story will push him to his absolute limits. While he’s proven himself by defeating Kaido using Gear 5, he still needs to become stronger than figures like Shanks and even Joy Boy. Most fans believe he’ll eventually surpass them before the series ends, and they’re excited to see it happen.

Sun God Nika

The Original One Piece Deity

Nika is an important figure in the history of the One Piece world. While much about him remains a mystery, it’s known that he was a god worshipped by people in the ancient past, even before the events of the Void Century. Records like the Elbaf Mural and information from Harley suggest Nika lived around 3000 years ago. Although his full strength is still unknown, it’s likely Luffy will eventually become more powerful than him.

Monkey D. Garp

The Hero of the Marines

Monkey D. Garp is Luffy’s grandfather. As a child, Luffy trained with Garp, who wanted him to join the Marines, but Luffy chose a different path. Garp is exceptionally strong, even without the power of a Devil Fruit. While Garp currently has more powerful Haki than Luffy, it’s likely Luffy will eventually become as strong as Roger.

It’s expected that Luffy will eventually surpass him in strength by the end of the series.

Shanks is widely considered the strongest of the Four Emperors in the One Piece world. He’s incredibly skilled in Haki, mastering all its different types, including some very rare abilities. Notably, his powerful Conqueror’s Haki was even likened to that of the legendary Joy Boy. However, many believe Luffy has the potential to become even stronger than Shanks in the future.

The Second Nika From the Void Century

Joy Boy is a puzzling character from the world of One Piece, and we’re learning more about him as the story reaches its climax. He was the previous user of the ‘Nika’ power, living during a lost period of history known as the Void Century. Joy Boy was incredibly powerful – his Haki even intimidated the mysterious Imu – and, like Luffy, he possessed the Gear 5 ability. However, he was defeated by Imu centuries ago, a fate that Luffy is destined to avoid.

Rocks D. Xebec is a famous figure in the world of One Piece. He was the captain of the Rocks Pirates, an incredibly powerful crew that sailed the Grand Line. What made them so remarkable was that they brought together future legends like Whitebeard, Kaido, Shiki, and Big Mom, all under one banner.

Rocks D. Xebec was incredibly strong, demonstrated by his ability to defeat an Admiral and sneak into the Flower Room with little damage. For Luffy to succeed in the final arc, he’ll need to become more powerful than figures like Xebec to overcome the obstacles ahead.

Imu is considered the strongest and most threatening character in One Piece. While much about them remains unknown, fans witnessed a display of their power during the Elbaf arc when they possessed Gunko. Luffy isn’t yet as strong as Imu, but he’ll need to surpass them eventually. It’s crucial that Luffy defeats Imu in their final confrontation, avoiding the same fate as Joy Boy.
