WWE 2K25 Officially Bringing Brock Lesnar Back

Recently, WWE 2K25 announced a downloadable content pack to celebrate John Cena’s retirement tour, scheduled for release on October 16th. Dataminers have now discovered what’s included, and it looks like Brock Lesnar is officially returning to the WWE 2K series as part of the update.

As fans of the *WWE 2K* series are aware, Brock Lesnar was taken out of *WWE 2K24* as a playable character and removed from the cover of the Forty Years of WrestleMania edition. Although never officially stated, many believe this change happened because Brock Lesnar was named in a lawsuit filed in January 2024 by a former WWE employee, Janel Grant, against WWE and Vince McMahon. McMahon was also largely removed from the game. It’s important to note that Lesnar himself isn’t named as a defendant in the lawsuit. Recently, Lesnar returned to wrestling, defeating John Cena in a tough match at WWE Wrestlepalooza, where he used his signature F5 move multiple times.

WWE 2K25 John Cena’s Farewell Tour DLC Additions

The latest update for *WWE 2K25*, patch 1.26, has revealed details about the upcoming John Cena downloadable content (DLC). Data discovered by players shows the DLC will include Cena’s looks from 2003 and WrestleMania 41, as well as appearances of Brock Lesnar and R-Truth (as his ‘Ron Cena’ persona). Players will also be able to customize their characters with five new t-shirts inspired by outfits Cena wore at various events, including in London, Scotland, and at SummerSlam. There are also indications that the DLC will add support for Kane’s appearances from 2003 and 2008.

  • John Cena (WM41)
  • John Cena ’03
  • R-Truth Ron Cena
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Kane ’03/Kane ’08

I’m so excited to hear that Brock Lesnar will have his SummerSlam ’25 look in the game! And it’s not just a rehash of the old model from *WWE 2K4* – it’s a completely new one, based on how he looks right now in the ring. That’s awesome!

The price for the John Cena Farewell Tour DLC hasn’t been announced yet, but we should find out more in the next few days.
