Sucker Punch has released details for a new update to Ghost of Yotei, fixing several problems that players were experiencing. This is the third update since the game came out on October 2nd, and Sucker Punch has been responding quickly to player feedback.
The new game, *Ghost of Yotei*, has quickly become a commercial success, earning over $140 million and selling more than 2 million copies in just three days. While sales are a little behind the previous game, *Ghost of Tsushima*, *Yotei* has already made enough money to cover its development costs. Players are now hoping it will be released on PC, which would likely increase profits even further. The developers, Sucker Punch, are currently focused on improving the game with new updates.
A new update, patch 1.009, is now available for PlayStation 5 players. This update focuses on fixing several issues and bugs to improve game stability. While smaller than the large update released with *Ghost of Yotei*, it addresses a potential crash during the Gambler’s Den mission involving bears attacking players and their companions. It also fixes a strange bug in the Gambler’s Den where Atsu could be unexpectedly killed while examining a jar.
So, this update fixes a bunch of glitches, and honestly, some of them were pretty funny! Like, Atsu’s horse would just keep running even after she called it back. There was also a weird thing in the *Ghost of Yotei* mini-game where a second table would pop up, hiding all the coins if you had the Dragonfly armor. Beyond that, they fixed some problems with specific missions – there was one where Atsu got stuck in a hallucination and I couldn’t even get to the game menus, which was super frustrating!

Despite being released six months apart, Ubisoft’s *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* is often compared to *Ghost of Yotei*. This is likely because both games share similar themes of revenge and are set in ancient Japan, though in different eras. The release of *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*’ expansion, *Claws of Awaji*, just weeks before *Ghost of Yotei* launched, further fueled these comparisons and brought the game back into players’ minds.
