The Creative Director for Borderlands 4 is warning PC players to be careful when using mods that skip dialogue. These mods might cause problems and break the game due to how Borderlands 4 is designed.

A new mod for *Borderlands 4*, called Dialog Skipper, launched on Nexus Mods on October 8th by creators Yeti and itzSmugg. As the name suggests, it lets players press a single key to skip through any dialogue. While it’s probably not the best choice for your first time playing, it can be really useful for replayability, particularly if you’re trying to level up several different Vault Hunters. The mod has already been downloaded over 1,000 times, but users should be aware that it might potentially cause issues with their saved games.

Graeme Timmins, Creative Director for *Borderlands 4*, has warned players about using a tool called Dialog Skipper on X (formerly Twitter). He advises caution because skipping dialogue can cause missions to break and potentially become unfinishable. Timmins explains that the dialogue system is deeply connected to the mission structure, making even a single skipped line potentially risky to your story progress. While the tool does work, using it is essentially a gamble.

Many players understand the potential downsides and are okay with moving forward anyway, which is reasonable.
