The Final Fantasy set was a huge hit, becoming the fastest-selling expansion in Magic: The Gathering history. Now, Wizards of the Coast has revealed another new crossover set is coming next year.
Magic: The Gathering fans have a lot to look forward to in 2026, with several exciting collaborations already announced. The game will revisit Middle-earth with a new expansion based on The Hobbit. Previously, Wizards of the Coast revealed plans for Marvel and Star Trek sets in 2025, and now they’ve added another major partnership to the 2026 lineup.
During New York Comic Con, Wizards of the Coast announced that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be featured in a special crossover set for the Magic: The Gathering card game. They showed off preview cards showcasing Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and popular characters like April O’Neil, Casey Jones, and Shredder. Along with the new cards, Wizards of the Coast announced products like a “Pizza Bundle” and new Commander Decks. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set for Magic: The Gathering will be released on March 26th.
Magic: the Gathering Reveals TMNT Crossover
The upcoming *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* cards aren’t the first time *Magic: The Gathering* has teamed up with Nickelodeon. Earlier this year, a special *SpongeBob SquarePants* set was released as part of the “Secret Lair” series. And next month, *Magic: The Gathering* will launch another collaboration with Nickelodeon, featuring cards from *Avatar: The Last Airbender* that can be used in standard play.
In addition to its many exciting collaborations, *Magic: The Gathering* has announced several new sets based on its own game world. Three sets are planned for release in 2026, bringing players back to the beloved planes of Lorwyn and Arcavios with “Lorwyn Eclipsed” and “Secrets of Strixhaven.” Wizards of the Coast has also hinted at another set called “Reality Fracture” coming next year, though details are currently scarce. With all this planned, *Magic: The Gathering* fans have a lot to anticipate!
