Just a day after its release, the new game *Battlefield 6* is already facing problems with cheaters in its online multiplayer mode. Fans were very excited for this latest installment in the popular *Battlefield* series, and it quickly became one of the year’s biggest releases. While the game has attracted over 740,000 players on Steam, early reports indicate that cheaters are already disrupting the experience.
Before its release, *Battlefield 6* faced criticism regarding its anti-cheat system. EA’s “Javelin” software, which operates at a deep level within your computer, caused concern because it needed significant permissions. Players also had to change settings in their computer’s BIOS to enable “Secure Boot” just to try out the game’s beta version. Despite these strong measures, reports suggest that cheaters have still managed to get into *Battlefield 6*.
Even before its official launch, players are already finding cheaters in the new *Battlefield 6* multiplayer game. Videos are appearing online showing these cheaters using software to automatically aim at and target enemies, giving them an unfair advantage. Because *Battlefield 6* doesn’t show killcams like *Call of Duty*, it’s initially harder to spot these cheaters. So far, EA hasn’t commented on the issue.
Battlefield 6 Is Already Having Cheater Problems
Despite strong anti-cheat efforts by EA in *Battlefield 6*, some cheaters are still managing to disrupt the game. During the open beta, EA blocked over 330,000 cheating attempts and received more than 100,000 reports of cheaters in just the first two days. However, EA’s anti-cheat software, called Javelin, has also caused problems for some players, even forcing some to uninstall the game *Valorant* due to conflicts with its anti-cheat system, Vanguard, which is also made by the developers of *League of Legends*.
Despite ongoing problems with cheaters, *Battlefield 6* has gotten off to a strong start. The game quickly became a top seller on Steam, proving so popular that it even caused temporary issues with EA’s app and server queues. EA is aiming high for *Battlefield 6*, hoping it will eventually attract 100 million players. Hopefully, these early cheater issues won’t hinder the game’s overall success.
