Foundry roadmap deep dive discussion video released

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent exploring various game worlds, I’ve grown accustomed to the ebb and flow of development cycles. The recent update from Foundry‘s team at Channel 3 Entertainment truly piqued my interest, especially given their commitment to community feedback and transparency.

The creator of Foundry, which is produced by Channel 3 Entertainment, has shared a detailed video discussing the game’s future plans.

Since its initial launch in early access, Foundry has undergone considerable improvements, most notably in the redesign of its panel screens. This update was a response to the community’s suggestions, demonstrating that the developers are attentive to player feedback.

Mark, one of our team members, shared that they’ve spent considerable time pondering over fan feedback and want everyone to know it’s always on their mind. They hinted at potentially two major updates this year, but haven’t set specific dates for these yet. Among the concepts they are enthusiastic about, but still in development stages, are themes like train travel, farming, animal-related gameplay, pressure mechanics, and character equipment upgrades.

Channel 3 Entertainment is currently developing Advanced Power Plants, featuring multiple modular structures. For over a year and a half, the team’s lead, Mark, has been incorporating creatures into the project. The goal is to populate the game with wildlife, particularly in biomes that can add uniqueness and vitality. Initially, these critters will serve as decorative elements without disrupting gameplay. However, the team intends to build additional features around them as progress continues. As of now, decisions regarding breeding, trading, or other functions have not been made. The objective is to establish a self-contained system for critters within Foundry that doesn’t impact other components of the game.

Foundry is in early access on PC via Steam now.
