A new report suggests Leon Kennedy made brief appearances in the first trailer for Resident Evil Requiem.
There’s a lot of talk about Leon Kennedy potentially being a playable character in the next Resident Evil game, Requiem. A well-known source has consistently said he’s in the game, but Capcom hasn’t confirmed anything yet. Now, this source claims Leon actually appeared briefly in the game’s first trailer.
Resident Evil Requiem’s First Trailer Reportedly Has Leon in Two Small Ways
A recent post from the leaker DuskGolem on X (formerly Twitter) discussed Leon’s appearance in the first trailer for Resident Evil Requiem. They said Leon appears briefly twice, but these moments are subtle and might be more noticeable on a second viewing. When asked if players would spend more time playing as Leon compared to Grace, DuskGolem said it depends on individual players, but they expect most people will play more as Leon due to the game’s structure.
Leon appears briefly in the first trailer, but these moments are subtle and become clearer upon review. Based on the game’s structure and my understanding, most players will likely spend more time playing as Leon than other characters.

DuskGolem was asked if Capcom might have secretly removed Leon from the game. They said it’s highly unlikely, explaining that removing a main character at this point would be a huge financial loss. Dusk emphasized that such a change isn’t something the developers can decide on suddenly, and would require a lot of discussion, approvals, and budget adjustments.
