Zoro is a hugely popular character in *One Piece*. He’s one of the strongest fighters among the Straw Hat Pirates, and the crew’s skilled swordsman.

Zoro is famous among fans for his unwavering determination and never giving up in a fight. He consistently delivers exciting battles in *One Piece*, and the final arc of the story promises even bigger challenges for him, including showdowns with both Mihawk and a member of the Gorosei.

Tashigi

A Marine Officer

I’ve always found Tashigi to be a bit of an underdog! She’s a dedicated Marine officer and always sticking by Smoker, and yeah, she’s really good with a sword, but she just doesn’t have a ton of raw power. Remember Punk Hazard? Zoro completely outmatched her back then, but honestly, I’d love to see them fight again someday – I think she could really surprise people with how much she’s improved!

Tashigi continues to be a significant character for Zoro, serving as a constant reminder of his friend, Kuina. It’s currently unknown what role the author, Oda, has planned for her in the future, leaving fans curious about her story.

Shiryu

One of Blackbeard’s Captains

Shiryu of the Rain is a captain of the Blackbeard Pirates and is considered one of their most powerful fighters. Blackbeard found him while they were both at Impel Down, and he’s incredibly strong – comparable to someone like Magellan.

Shiryu is a strong fighter who ate the Clear-Clear Fruit, giving him unique abilities. When the Straw Hat Pirates and Blackbeard Pirates inevitably battle, he’s expected to be a challenging opponent for Zoro.

Mihawk

The World’s Strongest Swordsman

Most One Piece fans eagerly await a rematch between Zoro and Dracule Mihawk. Mihawk is renowned as the world’s greatest swordsman, and he previously defeated Zoro easily at the Baratie restaurant. That loss actually pushed Zoro to become even stronger and more determined.

Zoro refused to be defeated and promised himself he would one day become stronger than Mihawk. As the story progresses, that moment feels increasingly near. It seems inevitable that Zoro and Mihawk will fight again in the final part of the series, and it might happen before we think.

Nusjuro

The Five Elders’ Swordsman

The Five Elders have always been a major force in One Piece, but the Egghead arc finally revealed just how powerful they are. Each Elder possesses incredible strength, along with unique Yokai abilities and the power of immortality.

If Zoro masters advanced Conqueror’s Haki, he’d have a chance against any of the Five Elders. However, a fight with Saint Nusjuro seems most probable, as both he and Zoro possess a legendary sword – Nusjuro has the Shodai Kitetsu, and Zoro wields the Sandai Kitetsu.

Fujitora

A Sword-Wielding Admiral

When considering which Marine could challenge Zoro in a fight, Admiral Fujitora is a strong contender. He’s a popular character known for his kindness, immense strength, and impressive swordsmanship. Fujitora’s abilities are further enhanced by his gravity-based Devil Fruit power, and he fights with a powerful, top-tier sword called Yakuza Kasen.

Fans have long wanted to see Zoro and Fujitora fight, but it’s currently unknown if they ever will.

Dorry

The Co-Captain of the Giant Pirates

Dorry and Brogy were once friends with the Straw Hat Pirates, but they were manipulated into becoming enemies by Gunko/Imu using a dark deal called Domi Reversi. Now, the Straw Hat crew and their allies must battle them in hopes of freeing them from this control.

Dorry and Brogy are incredibly powerful, considered a major threat on the level of the Yonko. However, Zoro, with Sanji’s help, could stand a chance against them if they ever fight. Zoro needs to improve his Conqueror’s Haki first to reach that level.

Holy Knights

A Massive Threat on Elbaf

The Holy Knights are a major enemy group in the story *One Piece*. Recently introduced in the Elbaf arc, they are expected to be a significant challenge for the Straw Hat Pirates.

Currently on Elbaf, we see Gunko, Killingham, and Sommers. It’s unknown who will battle each other, or if Zoro will even fight them. However, if he does, Sommers – who is also a swordsman – would be a likely opponent. Like with his past challenges against Dorry, Brogy, and the Five Elders, Zoro will need to master his Conqueror’s Haki to succeed.
