Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds a Day-One Title, Plus a Festive Platformer

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers now have two new games to enjoy: *Ball x Pit* and *The Grinch: Christmas Adventure*. These additions are the 53rd and 54th games added to the service this October, bringing the total number of Game Pass releases for the year to 176.

I’m really into this game called *Ball x Pit*! It’s made by one person, Kenny Sun, and it’s a super addictive survival roguelite. Basically, you’re collecting balls to keep going deeper and deeper into this crazy monster pit – it’s what’s left of a fallen city called Ballbylon, which is a cool backstory. It’s got that classic ‘numbers go up’ gameplay I love in these kinds of games, but it’s not just about that. You also get to build up a base, which adds a whole other layer to the experience. It’s surprisingly deep!

Ball x Pit Reaches Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

The unique survival roguelike game, *Ball x Pit*, launched on PC and consoles on October 15th at noon Eastern Time. It was also immediately available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on both PC and through the Ultimate tier. Players with Xbox Game Pass can even stream the game using Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported devices. Before its full release, a demo on Steam received over 1,500 “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews, starting in early June.

The Grinch: Christmas Adventures Now Available on All Non-Essential Game Pass Tiers

Two new games are now available on Xbox Game Pass: *Ball x Pit* and *The Grinch: Christmas Adventures*. *The Grinch: Christmas Adventures*, developed by Casual Brothers, is a platformer based on the classic Dr. Seuss story, featuring platforming, puzzles, and stealth elements. It’s the second game from Casual Brothers to come to Xbox Game Pass this year, following *Barbie Project Friendship*. Both *The Grinch* and *Barbie* games can be played solo or with a friend on the same couch.

3 More Titles Join Xbox Game Pass Premium

On October 15th, Xbox Game Pass added three new games to its Premium library, which launched earlier this month as a replacement for the previous standard membership. These games – *Eternal Strands*, *He Is Coming*, and *Ninja Gaiden 2 Black* – were originally available to those with the higher-tier Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription earlier in 2025.
