Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set entirely within Lumiose City, but offers plenty to discover. Pokémon appear throughout different Wild Zones, and we’ve mapped out all the Pokémon and Alpha Pokémon locations in Wild Zone 1.
Okay, so Pokémon Legends: Z-A has a ton of open areas – 20 Wild Zones, actually! They don’t all unlock at once, you find more as you progress through the story, and the first one is just a taste of what’s to come. But even that first zone has some really useful Pokémon you can snag that’ll be solid team members for a long time.
This guide has everything you need to know about Pokémon appearances in Wild Area 1, including where to find Alpha Pokémon.
All Pokémon Legends: Z-A Wild Zone 1 Pokémon Spawn Locations
Players can immediately explore Wild Zone 1 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is one of the game’s starting areas and is home to a variety of Pokémon.
To finish Mable’s Research Task in Wild Zone 1, you’ll need to find and catch seven different Pokémon. However, you won’t be able to find them all right away – you’ll need to progress through the game’s story to unlock access to the entire area first.
Okay, so I’ve put together a guide to all the Pokémon you can find in Wild Zone 1. It lists what time of day you need to be playing to find them, and exactly where to look. Basically, it’s everything you need to know to catch ’em all in that zone!
Pokémon | Time of Day | Location |
---|---|---|
Bunnelby | Day/Night | Ground Level |
Fletchling | Day/Night | Ground level |
Mareep | Day/Night | Two spawns directly opposite fast-travel point |

All Pokémon Legends: Z-A Wild Zone 1 Alpha Pokémon Locations
A single, permanently present Alpha Pokémon always appears in Wild Zone 1. But you won’t just find that one – other Alpha Pokémon also spawn there.
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, most Pokémon you encounter can appear as a stronger Alpha Pokémon, though a few always spawn as Alpha. While the Alpha Pokémon that appear often change, there’s one area – Wild Zone 1 – where the Alpha spawns are consistent and don’t rotate.
All the details you need on Alpha Pokémon in Wild Zone 1 are below.
Pokémon | Time of Day | Location |
---|---|---|
Alpha Pidgey | Day/Night | Rooftops |
