Borderlands 4 Was The Best-Selling Game In September

Just heard the sales numbers for the US, and I’m stoked to say Borderlands 4 topped the charts in September 2025! It’s awesome to see so many people are playing it.

New data released by Circana, a leading industry analysis firm, covers the period from August 31st to October 4th.

After Borderlands 4, NBA 2K26 was the best-selling game in September and for the year so far, thanks to two strong months of sales. The top five games also included EA Sports FC 26, Ghost of Yotei, and Madden NFL 26. Notably, three out of the five top-selling games were sports titles.

Almost half of the top 20 best-selling games this month were newly released. In addition to the games already mentioned, Silent Hill f, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, NHL 26, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and the Super Mario Galaxy collection all entered the top 20 for the first time.
