The 2D action game Marvel Cosmic Invasion, created by Dotemu and Tribute Games, will be released on [Date – not provided in original text].
Marvel Cosmic Invasion will be released on Monday, December 1st. This release date was revealed in the newest trailer, which also showcased the game’s final two characters: Phoenix and Iron Man.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch consoles. The game is inspired by the ‘Annihilation’ comic book event from the mid-2000s and puts you in the role of a hero fighting to stop Annihilus and his devastating invasion force from taking over the galaxy.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion appears to be a typical 2D fighting game, but it adds a unique twist with its “Cosmic Swap” feature. This lets players instantly switch to a different character during gameplay.

I’ve realized this game isn’t just about constantly switching characters to see who’s coolest. There’s actually a real strategy involved – you really need to think about who you pick and how you play them to be successful.
I played the game with Spider-Man and Venom as my characters, and they worked really well together. I’d launch enemies up with Venom, then instantly switch to Spider-Man to hit them with a flying kick. From there, I’d continue the combo with Spider-Man, then switch back to Venom to send them flying across the screen with a bite. Even though some of the combinations felt a bit chaotic, the sheer variety of moves added a surprising amount of depth to the fighting, which is unusual for this type of game.
