Outer Worlds 2 Release Time

Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2 is the last big game Xbox will publish in 2025. It takes players to a galaxy controlled by powerful corporations and unrestrained capitalism. Expect a lot of classic RPG elements – character skills to develop, enemies to fight, quests to finish, and companions to team up with – offering hours of gameplay. Finding out exactly when The Outer Worlds 2 will be available is a bit tricky, and many players are wondering the same thing.

What Time Does The Outer Worlds 2 Release?

Early Access and Daylight Saving Time Make Things Complicated

The release of The Outer Worlds 2 depends on which version you buy. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will be able to start playing on October 24th, five days before the standard edition launches on October 29th. If you plan to play through Xbox Game Pass, you’ll receive the standard edition, but you can buy an upgrade to the Premium Edition to gain those five days of early access.

With the release of The Outer Worlds 2’s early access version and the full game, the end of daylight saving time in places like the UK will make it tricky to pinpoint exact release times for everyone. This also accounts for the varying time difference between the UK and the US depending on which version you’re looking at.

I’ve been checking the PlayStation Store to find out when we can finally play, and these times are what I’ve found. Just a heads-up, release times can sometimes be a little different depending on what system you’re using. I’ve double-checked everything I could to make sure the times I’ve shared are as accurate as possible, so hopefully you can jump in and start playing right when it’s available!
