In October 2025, after nearly five years, the level cap in Pokémon GO increased from 50 to 80. This update added new rewards and requirements for leveling up. The game also restructured existing levels to help players earn rewards and level up more often.

Okay, so I’m trying to hit level 80 in Pokemon GO, and I was looking for a guide to help me (and maybe you too!). This one breaks down exactly what you need to do to reach that goal, and what cool stuff you get as a reward. It also tells you when certain items unlock – the really exciting ones are highlighted in bold so you can easily see what you’re working towards, whether you’re just starting out or have been playing for ages!
