Okay, so Pokemon TCG Pocket is turning one! They’re kicking off the celebrations on October 29th with some awesome promo cards coming back – it’s the first time they’ve ever done something like this in the game. It’s crazy to think that Pokemon TCG Pocket launched on October 30th, 2024, and already over 150 million of us have downloaded it on our phones and tablets!
On October 23rd, Pokemon TCG Pocket announced more information about the new Mega Rising expansion. This expansion will be a significant one, introducing Mega Evolved Pokemon to the game for the first time and featuring a large number of cards. It’s the second expansion since A1 Genetic Apex, and DeNA has also shared other exciting updates for fans.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Details First Anniversary Celebration Events
From October 29th to December 16th, Pokemon TCG Pocket is holding a First Anniversary Celebration! All players will receive three free booster packs – one of each type. The event also introduces new Special Missions where you can earn exclusive cosmetic items, including a special emblem to mark the anniversary. Plus, from October 29th to November 13th, there will be two chances to collect promo cards originally released in previous events and Wonder Pick bonuses.
Pokemon TCG Pocket First Anniversary Celebration Dates and Details
- First Anniversary Celebration Campaign (October 29 to December 16): Rewards players with three free booster packs and other login rewards
- First Anniversary Celebration Special Missions (October 29 to December 16): Lets players complete special tasks to earn cosmetic rewards
- PROMO Reissue Drop Event 2025 (October 29 to November 8): Allows players to collect A Series promo packs vols. 1–6 and 8–13
- PROMO Reissue Wonder Pick Event (October 29 to November 13): Includes promo cards previously available from Wonder Pick
As a huge Pokemon TCG Pocket fan, I was so excited when the Deluxe Pack EX came out – it was awesome to see some older cards come back! A lot of us were hoping DeNA would do something similar with promo cards, and now it’s happening! These PROMO Reissue events are a total lifesaver for anyone, like me, still trying to collect all the Pokemon and complete their Pokedex!
DeNA might have even more surprises planned for the game’s first anniversary, but details are currently secret. Some players believe the ‘Advance Ticket’ feature in Pokemon TCG Pocket will be important during the celebration. Keep October 29th free – that’s when we’ll find out if DeNA has anything else up their sleeve!
