The Outer Worlds 2 includes many improvements over the first game. A standout feature is the ability to have pets, which will have their own dedicated space aboard your ship, The Incognito, once you’ve unlocked it.
In Outer Worlds 2, you can collect various pets, and earning five of them will unlock a special achievement! This guide will show you how to find and get pets, including the exclusive Premium Sprat, and explains how to change which pet is currently active.
How to Get Pets in Outer Worlds 2
In Outer Worlds 2, you can get pets in a few different ways. You can earn them by finishing certain missions, buy them from shops across Arcadia, or get them as part of the Premium Edition of the game.
- If you purchase the Premium edition of Outer Worlds 2, you will be able to summon a unique Sprat pet automatically after acquiring your first other pet.
- Early in the game, you can get a Crabble pet at the Crabble Ranch to the south of the landing pad on Paradise.
- Here, the rancher is having trouble with a crabble named Lucy, who’s had too much of Auntie’s Choice’s flagship product Purpleberry Krunch and appears ill.
- Use your skills to help nurse it back to health, and it will thank you by offering to become a pet on the Incognito.
- At the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center, you can purchase a Hover Drone pet from the Quartermaster Automech vendor.
- First, you’ll have to help fix the malfunctioning automated vendor by talking to it.
- Once you have access to the Quartermaster Automech’s trading inventory, you can purchase the Hover Drone for 1,000 Bits.
To collect all the pets in Outer Worlds 2, be sure to check every shop and finish every side quest. As you progress, pets will become more costly and harder to find.
How to Change Pet in Outer Worlds 2
To switch between your pets in Outer Worlds 2, go aboard The Incognito. From the exit, turn left into the hallway, then turn right. You’ll find a crafting table and a Pet Feeder there. Using the Pet Feeder will show you all the pets you’ve unlocked, allowing you to choose one.
Choose a new pet, confirm your selection, and then leave the Pet Feeder menu. Your previously selected pet will be removed and replaced with the new one.
If you’ve bought the Premium Edition of Outer Worlds 2, you’ll find the Premium Sprat listed here.
In Outer Worlds 2, you’ll need to get a new pet before you can switch between them. Getting Lucy, the crabble, is a quick way to unlock the exclusive Sprat pet that comes with the Premium Edition.
